    摘要: In a magnetic recording medium having Co-based alloy magnetic layer containing Pt formed on a substrate through an underlayer, by forming said underlayer with plural underlayers including double layer structure which is formed by piling up 1st underlayer of Cr-based alloy containing Ti and 2nd underlayer of Cr-based alloy containing at least one element selected from a group comprising Mo and W in this sequence, crystal grain diameter is decreased and then medium noise can be decreased, and c axis is oriented to in-plane direction and then high coercivity can be obtained, consequently the magnetic recording medium having high signal to noise ratio at high recording density region is obtained. Further a small size large capacity magnetic recording system can be provided by combination of said magnetic recording media with a MR (magnetoresistive) head.

    摘要: An image recorder includes a cleaning unit having an opening which faces a photoconductive drum in a predetermined set position of the unit, and other process units which are arranged around the drum together with the cleaning unit. A process kit which at least includes the cleaning unit is removable from the image recorder independently of the drum. The image recorder is constituted by an upper and a lower unit, the upper unit being openable away from the lower unit. A member is provided which opens and closes the opening of the cleaning unit in an interlocked relation with the upper unit. The drum and process kit may be opened and closed together with the upper unit or, alternatively, the process unit may be opened and closed together with the upper unit with the drum retained by the lower unit, as desired.

    摘要: A dual-conductor type current-access magnetic bubble device comprises apertured conductors on which apertured magnetic sheets having the same configuration as the corresponding conductors are disposed, whereby magnetic poles are induced on each aperture of the magnetic sheets by the in-plane magnetic field generated by the current applied to the corresponding conductors to reduce the driving current required for bubble propagation, while stable regions are formed in the substrate by the magnetic poles induced by the bubbles at the boundaries of the apertures of the magnetic sheets at the time of service interruption. The device is further provided with a magnetic rail having side walls on which magnetic poles are induced by the stray flux of the bubbles in the substrate, thereby to have stable bubble-rest regions formed in the substrate at the time of service interruption by the magnetic poles induced on the walls.

    摘要: A toner image of an original document is formed on a photoconductive drum (1) and transferred onto a copy sheet (4) which is moved into contact with the drum (1) by a corona charging unit (5) which applies an electrostatic charge to the copy sheet (4) causing the toner image to be transferred thereto. The copy sheet (4) is separated from the drum (1) by a conductive belt (6). The belt (6) is initially grounded so that the leading edge of the copy sheet (4) is attracted thereto by induced electrostatic charge. A voltage of the same polarity as the transfer charge is then applied to the belt (6) to prevent transfer of the toner image back to the drum (1).

    摘要: An exposure unit radiates a light image of an original document onto a charged photoconductive member to form an electrostatic image through localized photoconduction. A developing unit applies a powdered developing substance comprising carrier particles and toner particles to the photoconductive member to develop the electrostatic image and produce a toner image which is transferred and fixed to a copy sheet to produce a permanent reproduction of the original document. Prior to exposure with the light image a reference electrostatic image is formed on the photoconductive member and the electrostatic potential thereof is measured. The intensity of the light image of the original document and/or a developing bias voltage are regulated in accordance with the sensed electrostatic potential. The reference image may be of a reference surface having a predetermined optical density or a portion of the original document produced by reverse optical scanning.

    摘要: A blowing agent is infiltrated into polystyrene resin particles dispersed in an aqueous suspension. Before or during infiltration, a flame retardant solution obtained by dissolving 33-1,000 parts by weight of a powdery flame retardant and 20-200 parts by weight of a flame retardant aid having a 1-hour half-life temperature of 100-250° C. in 100 parts by weight of a plasticizer is supplied to the aqueous suspension to infiltrate the flame retardant and the flame retardant aid into the particles, producing expandable polystyrene resin particles. By dissolving the flame retardant, which doesn't accumulate in the living body and has satisfactory handleability, in a plasticizer, the flame retardant can be evenly infiltrated into resin particles. Consequently, expansion of the expandable particles doesn't result in unevenness of cell density and the particles have excellent heat-fusibility to one another during molding, and molded foam having excellent flame retardancy and heat resistance can be obtained.
