    摘要: An upper coil bar and lower coil bar are disposed in slots of an armature core. The upper coil bars have upper coil-end sections which extend radially from the outer periphery of the armature core and together from a commutator surface with which a brush member is in contact. The upper coil-end sections and coil-end sections of the lower coil bars are retained by a fixing cap fixed between a shaft of the rotary electric machine and the upper coil-end sections, and also by a spacer disposed between the upper coil-end sections and the lower coil-end sections so that the commutator surface can be maintained smooth even under conditions of thermal expansion or high-speed operation.

    摘要: In order to absorb the impact force produced when a pinion meshes a ring gear, a magnet switch is disposed apart from a pinion. The distance between a plunger of the magnet switch and a pinion rotation regulating member is lengthened so that a link mechanism having an elastic member such as a cord-shaped member or a spring is lengthened. As a result, the impact force produced when the pinion meshes the ring gear can be prevented from being directly transmitted to the plunger. Consequently, there is no vibration of the plunger and a movable contact can be reliably prevented from moving away from a fixed contact.

    摘要: A starter includes a housing having a water barrier wall, a drive shaft disposed in the housing, and pinion gear having a flange portion. The water barrier wall comes into contact with the flange portion when the starter is in operation. The pinion gear is adapted to engage with a ring gear of an engine, which the starter starts. The pinion gear contacts the drive shaft through a sliding portion. The structure of the starter prevents water, dust, dirt and other contaminants from leaking into the housing via a window in the housing. Thus, the function and operability of the starter is improved.

    摘要: Terminal bolts are inserted in the bottom of contact cover through collars. C-rings are fitted into U-shaped grooves formed in the terminal bolts and constitute locking parts. Circular notch parts are formed on the innersurface at the contact chamber side of the collars and the notch parts are engaged with the C-ring whereby ring terminals receive pressing force of nuts tightened on the terminal bolts. Accordingly, spaces are created at places being closer to the contact chamber side than the C ring side of the terminal bolts are, by interposing O-rings with large thickness in the spaces in elastically compressed states, whereby an airtightness of the contact chamber can be secured without expanding an outer diameter of the contact cover. Thus, an electromagnetic switch can adopt sealing members with sufficient thickness without expanding an outer diameter of the contact cover.

The solenoid actuator is configured to, when activated, shift the movable pinion member toward the ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. The solenoid device includes a solenoid switch configure to, when activated, energize the motor. The solenoid actuator and the solenoid switch are integrated with each other to provide the solenoid device. A controller module is configured to individually control an activation of the solenoid actuator and an activation of the solenoid switch. The controller module is mounted on the solenoid device.

    摘要: An electromagnetic switch is provided which is equipped with a built-in electronic control circuit working to control energization of an exciting coil. The electronic control circuit is disposed within a chamber defined by a magnetic plate to be separate from a contact chamber. In other words, the electronic control circuit is disposed between the magnetic plate and the exciting coil, thereby avoiding the adhesion of conductive dusts, as arising from the wear of contacts, to the surface of the electronic control circuit. This results in decreases in electric insulation and short-circuit of the electronic control circuit and also eliminates the need for additional special parts to electrically insulate and shield the electronic control circuit, thus permitting the electromagnetic switch to be reduced in size and produced at a decreased const.
