Abstract: A method for coupling a tube to a tube fitting includes radially outwardly expanding a tubular compression collar from a constricted state to an expanded state, the compression collar having a throughway extending there through and being made of a resiliently flexible material. An end of the tube is inserted within the throughway of the expanded compression collar, the tube bounding a passage. A tube fitting is inserted within the passage of the tube. The compression collar is allowed to resiliently rebound back towards the constricted state so that the compression collar pushes the tube against the tube fitting.

Abstract: A fluid manifold system includes a first manifold having portions of opposing flexible sheets welded together to form a fluid flow path therebetween, a fluid inlet communicating with the fluid flow path. The fluid flow path of the first manifold includes: a primary flow path communicating with the fluid inlet of the first manifold; and a plurality of spaced apart secondary flow paths that branch off of the primary flow path. Each secondary flow path has a first end communicating with the primary flow path and an opposing second end, each secondary flow path having a diameter that is smaller than a diameter of the primary flow path. The fluid manifold system also includes a plurality of tubular connectors with each tubular connector being secured to the first manifold at the second end of a corresponding one of the secondary flow paths.

Abstract: A container includes a first wall and an opposing second wall that extend between a first end and an opposing second end, a first fluid flow path being bounded between the first wall and the second wall. The first wall includes a primary wall portion having a first opening extending therethrough in alignment with the first fluid flow path. A secondary wall portion extends over the first opening and is secured to the primary wall portion so as to seal the first opening closed, the secondary wall portion being comprised of a film having a thickness that is less than a thickness of the primary wall portion.

Abstract: A container system includes a flexible bag, a probe port, and a probe. The probe port includes an elongated tubular member having an interior surface bounding a first passageway extending between a first end and an opposing second end, the tubular member being made of a polymeric or elastomeric material and being flexible. The probe port also includes a flange coupled to the tubular member and radially outwardly projecting therefrom, the flange being secured to the flexible bag so that the first end of the tubular member projects into a chamber of the flexible bag while the second end of the first passageway of the tubular member is accessible from outside of the flexible bag. The probe can be received within the first passageway of the probe port.

Abstract: A system for performing a gas-liquid mass transfer includes a container bounding a compartment and having a top wall, a bottom wall, and an encircling sidewall extending therebetween. Abstract: A container system includes a bag comprised of one or more sheets of flexible polymeric material, the bag having an interior surface at least partially bounding a chamber, the chamber being adapted to hold a fluid. A flexible sparging sheet is secured to the interior surface of the bag so that a compartment is formed between the interior surface of the bag and the sparging sheet, at least a portion of the sparging sheet allowing gas to pass therethrough. A tubular port or tube is secured to the bag so that a passage bounded by the tubular port or tube communicates with the compartment. A mixing element is disposed within the chamber of the bag, the mixing element being spaced apart from the flexible sparging sheet.
