    摘要: A recording element supported by a slider includes a non-magnetic film and a magnetic pole film. The non-magnetic film has a depression whose inner surface is provided with an amorphous electrode film used as a plating seed film. Above the electrode film, the magnetic pole film is grown by plating. The magnetic pole film may be either an electroplated film grown on the electrode film to have a maximum crystal grain size of 20 nm or less or an electroless plated film. This decreases coercive force of the magnetic pole film.

    摘要: A thin-film resistor that has a stable electric resistance, the phase transformation to the α-phase being suppressed even in the high temperature environment, is provided. The thin-film resistor has a layered structure of: a base layer formed of a double-layered film in which an alloy film containing nickel and copper, an alloy film containing nickel and chromium or an alloy film containing copper and manganese is stacked on a tantalum film, or formed of a single alloy film containing nickel and chromium; and an electric resistance layer formed of a β-phase tantalum film or an alloy film mainly containing β-phase tantalum, and deposited on the base layer, the electric resistance layer having a crystal structure in which (002) plane of the β-phase crystal is most strongly oriented to the layer surface.

    摘要: A magneto-resistive effect element includes a free layer having a magnetization direction which varies with respect to an external magnetic field; a pinned layer which includes a stacked structure comprising an outer pinned layer which has a magnetization direction that is fixed with respect to the external magnetic field, a non-magnetic intermediate layer which is made of ruthenium with a thickness of about 0.4 nm, and an inner pinned layer with a thickness of 3 nm or more, wherein the inner pinned layer has a magnetization direction which is fixed with respect to the external magnetic field due to anti-ferromagnetic coupling with the outer pinned layer via the non-magnetic intermediate layer; and a spacer layer sandwiched between the free layer and the inner pinned layer. Sense current flows through the pinned layer, the spacer layer, and the free layer substantially in a stacked direction.

    摘要: Disclosed is a photoelectric tilt-detecting sensor which, while simple in structure, is reduced of traveling-around of light transmitted therein to thereby improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The tilt-detecting sensor has a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element respectively fixed in an opposed relation in a main body, and slant surfaces provided between the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element to define a space in the main body. The slant surfaces has an elongate groove so that a spherical ball is allowed to stably move therealong. A lid integral with the main body enables bending thereof to enclose the space of the main body. These lid and the main body is formable in one body by using dies through simplified processes, realizing large-scaled production.

    摘要: A light emitting element (1) and a light receiving element (2) are oppositely fixed through a space by an opaque-material package (3) to allow transmission and reception of light therebetween. The light emitting element and the light receiving element have leads which are outwardly extended from a bottom surface (A) of the package (3) and inserted into and soldered to through-holes of a substrate. A movement-preventing bend portion (11g, 21g) having at least a first bend point is formed at a position smaller than a thickness of the substrate from the bottom surface of the package. As a result, where the leads of the photointerrupter are inserted into and soldered to a printed substrate or the like, soldering is possible without causing inclination or positional deviation.
