    Abstract: An method includes determining to perform inter-cell multi-downlink control information (multi-DCI) based multi-transmission reception point (multi-TRP) operation for a user device based on the following: receiving, by the user device from a network node, transmission configuration index (TCI) states for a plurality of control resource sets (CORESETS), wherein the TCI states for the plurality of CORESETs are associated with a plurality of cells having different physical cell identities (PCIs) or associated with a plurality of cell groups; and determining, by the user device, that at least one of the following conditions is present: 1) a multi-DCI based multi-TRP-related high layer parameter has been configured to the user device; 2) a default mode of multi-TRP operation has been configured to the user device; or 3) the user device has received control information indicating physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) TCI state activations corresponding to two different CORESETPoolIndex values; and, performing inter-cell multi-DCI based multi-TRP operation.

    Abstract: There are provided measures for enabling/realizing higher-layer beam management, e.g., beam failure detection or beam candidate detection in a higher layer such as a MAC entity. Such measures exemplarily comprise that a beam management timer is started when a (first) beam management instance indication from a lower layer is obtained, beam management is executed, wherein a beam management instance counter is incremented whenever a beam management instance indication from the lower layer is obtained and a beam management event is detected when the beam management instance counter reaches a beam management instance threshold before expiry of the beam management timer, and the beam management instance counter is reset upon expiry of the beam management timer.

    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reporting beam failure. A terminal device performs beam failure detection on a first number of serving cells configured for the terminal device. The terminal device determines information to at least indicate respective results of the beam failure detection on a second number of serving cells among the first number of serving cells, where the second number is smaller than the first number. The determined information is transmitted by the terminal device to a network device serving the terminal device using a resource allocated for the terminal device. Based on the information, the network device determines an overall result of the beam failure detection performed on the first number of serving cells.

    Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform determining by a user equipment that the user equipment has missed, or will miss, at least one power saving signal monitoring occasion, where the user equipment is configured to monitor a power saving signal in a first bandwidth part; and based upon the determination that the user equipment has missed, or will miss, the at least one power saving signal monitoring occasion, causing the user equipment to monitor a physical downlink control channel on the first bandwidth part during an on-duration of discontinuous reception. To perform configuring a user equipment to monitor a power saving signal in a first bandwidth part; causing the user equipment to monitor a physical downlink control channel on the first bandwidth part during an on-duration of discontinuous reception; and based upon the causing of the user equipment to monitor the physical downlink control channel on the first bandwidth part during the on-duration of discontinuous reception, causing the on-duration of discontinuous reception-cycle to be reduced relative to a previous on-duration of discontinuous reception. And to perform determining by a user equipment that an inactivity timer has expired during an on-duration of discontinuous reception-cycle after a user equipment wake up has been triggered, where the user equipment is configured to report periodic channel status information (CSI) feedback on the on-duration of discontinuous reception-cycle and based upon the determination that the inactivity timer has expired during the on-duration of discontinuous reception-cycle after the user equipment wake up has been triggered, causing the user equipment to monitor a physical downlink control channel for the on-duration of discontinuous reception.
