    Abstract: Damage to a flexible display can be prevented. A display device having improved mechanical strength can be provided. A display device (10) includes a display panel (11) and a protection cover (12). The display panel (11) includes a first portion having flexibility. The protection cover (12) has a light-transmitting property and flexibility and is provided to overlap with a display surface side of the display panel (11). The display device (10) has a function of being reversibly changed in shape to a first mode in which the display panel (11) and the protection cover (12) are each substantially flat and a second mode in which the first portion of the display panel (11) is curved such that the display surface side becomes a concave surface and part of the protection cover (12) is curved in the same direction as the first portion. In the second mode, there is a gap between the first portion and the protection cover.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display apparatus having high display quality is provided. A method for manufacturing a display apparatus including first to third insulators, first and second conductors, and first and second EL layers is provided. The first conductor is formed over the first insulator, and the second insulator is formed over the first insulator and over the first conductor. A first opening portion reaching the first conductor is formed in the second insulator. A sacrificial layer is formed over the second insulator and over a bottom surface of the first opening portion, and a resist is applied over the sacrificial layer. Light exposure and development are performed on the resist, so that a second opening portion reaching the sacrificial layer is formed in a region overlapping with the first conductor. A third opening portion is formed in a region of a bottom surface of the second opening portion, and the first EL layer is formed over the resist, over the sacrificial layer, and over the first conductor. Then, the resist and the sacrificial layer are removed, whereby the first EL layer over the resist and over the sacrificial layer is removed. The second EL layer is formed over the first EL layer and over the second insulator, and the second conductor and the third insulator are formed in order over the second EL layer.

    Abstract: A display apparatus that has a light sensing function is provided. A display apparatus that has high light sensitivity is provided. The display apparatus includes a light-receiving element, a light-emitting element, a conductive layer, and a first wiring. The light-receiving element includes a first pixel electrode, a common layer, an active layer, and a common electrode. The light-emitting element includes a second pixel electrode, the common layer, a light-emitting layer, and the common electrode. The conductive layer is provided over the same surface as the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode, is positioned between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode, is electrically connected to the common layer, and is electrically connected to the first wiring to which a first potential is supplied. The common layer includes a portion overlapping with the first pixel electrode, a portion overlapping with the second pixel electrode, and a portion overlapping with the conductive layer. The common electrode includes a portion overlapping with the first pixel electrode and a portion overlapping with the second pixel electrode. The first wiring is provided over a surface different from the surface where the conductive layer is provided.

    Abstract: A method for operating an electronic device, which is easy on eyes, is provided. The electronic device includes a display device including a light-emitting device and a light-receiving device, and a lens.     Abstract: A novel functional panel that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. The functional panel includes a base material and a pair of pixels, and the base material covers the pair of pixels and has a light-transmitting property. The pair of pixels includes one pixel and another pixel, and the one pixel includes a light-emitting device and a first microlens. The light-emitting device emits light toward the base material, and the first microlens is interposed between the base material and the light emission and converges light. The first microlens includes a first surface and a second surface; the second surface is closer to the light-emitting device than the first surface is; and the second surface has a smaller radius of curvature than the first surface. The other pixel includes a photoelectric conversion device and a second microlens. The second microlens is interposed between the base material and the photoelectric conversion and converges external light incident from the base material side. The second microlens includes a third surface and a fourth surface; the third surface is closer to the photoelectric conversion device than the fourth surface is; and the fourth surface has a smaller radius of curvature than the third surface.
