摘要： To accurately read optical information more than an opening diameter of a read opening without the read opening contacted with a reading object, in a reader for reading a bar code by irradiating light from a light source to a bar-code label, converging the reflected light through a mirror and a stop by a lens and focusing the converged light on a line image sensor with a shutter, a wavelength detector for detecting a wavelength of the reflected light and a light guide for irradiating light spots indicative of a readable range to the label are provided. Whether a reading state is in a contact reading state in which a read opening contacts the label or in a noncontact reading state in which the read opening separates from the label is determined based on a wavelength of the reflected light detected by the wavelength detector. A light emission quantity and a shutter speed are controlled so as to keep an incident light quantity to the image sensor at an optimum value on a basis of the decided result and reflected light intensity obtained by integrating a line sensor output.

摘要： A developing apparatus includes a developing roller which conveys developer on the surface thereof by the rotation in a predetermined direction. The developer conveyed thereon to develop a latent image formed on an image-holding device. A supply roller rotates keeping contact with the developing roller and by the rotation of which the developer is supplied to the developing roller. A regulating member regulates the amount of the developer to be conveyed on the surface of the developing roller. The supply roller is so disposed that the axis thereof is positioned lower than that of the developing roller while the top thereof is also positioned lower than that of the developing roller.

摘要： A current interruption type ignition system for an internal combustion engine comprises an ignition coil including a primary coil portion and a secondary coil portion; an exciter inducing an AC voltage in synchronism with rotation of the engine to be supplied to the primary coil portion of the ignition coil; a first semiconductor switch provided in parallel to the primary coil portion to conduct a current from the exciter therethrough; a second semiconductor switch provided on a controlled terminal of the first semiconductor switch so that the second semiconductor switch, upon conduction, causes the first semiconductor switch to be turned off so as to abruptly conduct a primary current into the primary coil portion of the ignition coil; and a signal source generating an ignition signal at the ignition position of the engine. The second semiconductor switch is provided in series to the primary coil portion of the ignition coil while the first semiconductor switch has the controlled terminal connected through the primary coil portion of the ignition coil to the exciter, whereby the first semiconductor switch is turned on by a signal applied by the exciter through the primary coil portion of the ignition coil.
