    摘要: A vertical component is extracted from an acceleration vector corresponding to body movement of a user from a three-axis acceleration sensor, and the vertical-component is separated by a high-band/low-band separating unit into a high-band component and a low-band component. Using these components, a peak detection/determination processing unit detects a peak-position candidate of action of the user in the vertical direction, identifies a peak-position candidate on the basis of an energy ratio between the high-band component and the low-band component, performs waveform matching regarding a predetermined range including each peak-position candidate, thereby determining a peak position, and detects body movement on the basis of the peak position, and a step-position analyzing unit detects a body-movement pitch.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a frequency band extension apparatus and method, an encoding apparatus and method, a decoding apparatus and method, and a program, with which a music signal can be reproduced with higher sound quality by means of frequency band extension.Band-pass filters 13 obtain a plurality of subband signals from an input signal. A frequency envelope extracting circuit 14 extracts a frequency envelope from the plurality of subband signals obtained by the plurality of band-pass filters. A highband signal generating circuit 15 generates highband signal components on the basis of the frequency envelope obtained by the frequency envelope extracting circuit 14, and the plurality of subband signals obtained by the band-pass filters 13. A frequency band extension apparatus 10 extends the frequency band of the input signal on the basis of the highband signal components generated by the highband signal generating circuit 15. The present invention can be applied to, for example, a frequency band extension apparatus, an encoding apparatus, a decoding apparatus, and the like.

    摘要: The small and light piezoelectric actuator of the present invention is capable of highly precisely positioning a magnetic head assemblies, etc. The piezoelectric actuator comprises: a movable member to which a head suspension is fixed; a fixed member fixed to a carriage arm; piezoelectric elements provided between the movable member and the fixed member and capable of adjusting a position of the head suspension by their deformation; and an electrode member electrically connected to one of electrodes of each of the piezoelectric elements. The movable member is adhered on the piezoelectric elements and electrically insulated from the other electrodes of the piezoelectric elements. The electric conductive layer of the electrode member and the other electrode of each of the piezoelectric elements are electrically connected to cables, which are provided to the head suspension so as to actuate the piezoelectric elements.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for encoding an input signal on the time base through orthogonal transform involves removing the correlation of signal waveform on the basis of the parameters obtained by means of linear predictive coding (LPC) analysis and pitch analysis of the input signal on the time base prior to the orthogonal transform. The time base input signal from input terminal is sent to a normalization circuit section and a LPC analysis circuit. The normalization circuit section removes the correlation of the signal waveform and takes out the residue by an LPC inverse filter and pitch inverse filter and sends the residue to an orthogonal transform circuit section. The LPC parameters from the LPC analysis circuit and the pitch parameters from the pitch analysis circuit are sent to a bit allocation calculation circuit. A coefficient quantization section quantizes the coefficients from the orthogonal transform circuit section according to the number of allocated bits from the bit allocation calculation section.
