摘要: The number of times of repetition of mass spectrometry analysis for integrating mass profiles is reduced to facilitate reduction in measurement time-period and increase a signal intensity. In a state when ions are trapped by a high-frequency electric field formed within an ion trap, a rectangular-wave high-frequency voltage to be applied from a main voltage generation section to a ring electrode is temporarily stopped, and next ions are introduced from an ion entrance port into the ion trap in a state when only a static electric field exists within the ion trap. The high-frequency voltage application is re-started while at least a part of previously-trapped ions remain within the ion trap, to trap the newly-introduced ions in addition to the previous ions so as to increase an amount of ions to be accumulated, and the accumulated ions are subjected to the mass spectrometry analysis.

摘要: An imaging mass spectrometer, an image of a sample is generated, and a region in the image is selected in accordance with predetermined criteria. Then, a mass analysis of the region is performed while scanning the sample in the selected region with a laser beam spot. By computing the total or average of the results in the region, a high precision analytical value in the region can be obtained. In a biological sample, by preliminarily performing a staining process on the biological sample using a certain dye, only the objective tissues can be analyzed. Also, a fluorescence microscope can be used.

摘要: There are provided a tape printing apparatus that is capable of enhancing the operability thereof in inputting text data by providing an edit area aside from a text data input area where text data can be input, on a display screen, and a data input processing method therefor. The inputted data is recognized in a manner distinguishing between data within the maximum printable number of lines and data in excess of the maximum printable number of lines. Of the inputted data, there are displayed not only the data recognized to be within the maximum printable number of lines but also data of a predetermined number of lines in excess of the maximum printable number of lines.

摘要: A webbing retractor is provided with a lock mechanism. The webbing retractor further comprises a bobbin, a webbing-holding member and a webbing. The bobbin has a drum portion and a pair of flanges arranged on opposite ends of the drum. The flanges define grooves formed in a mutually-opposing relationship and angularly extending over a predetermined length in a webbing-releasing direction as a first direction of rotation. The webbing-holding member extends between the grooves. The webbing is secured at one end thereof in the bobbin, wound back about the webbing-holding member at a first portion thereof apart from the one end thereof toward an opposite end thereof, and then wound in layers around the drum portion in the first direction of rotation at a second portion thereof closer to the opposite end than the first portion.

摘要: In response to data supplied from a system controller, a display microcomputer of a television receiver produces a display in a sub-screen of the cathode-ray tube of a main menu corresponding to the numerous operating functions of which the television receiver is capable. Some of these functions include a picture-in-picture function, a satellite broadcast receiving function, and a picture-recording reservation function. When a user of the television receiver selects an item on the main menu corresponding to the picture-in-picture function by using a remote controller, the system controller controls an audio video switch, the picture-in-picture circuit, and a display microcomputer to provide two picture-in-picture sub-screens displayed simultaneously. One sub-screen contains a sub-screen menu to enable the user to set parameters relative to the picture displayed in the other sub-screen.

摘要: In a computer system capable of being configured in a multiprocessor system, a plurality of virtual machines are grouped by object of use to define a plurality of processor groups. Each processor has an identifier for a processor group to which it belongs. When an instruction which requires synchronous execution among the processors is executed, the processor identifies the processor group to which it belongs and requests the synchronous execution of the instruction to only the processors in the group. In another aspect, each processor which has a request for execution refers to its own identifier to determine if the request is from a processor of the same group in order to determine whether it should execute the instruction or not. When the processor completes the execution of the instruction, it sends an end signal to the requesting processor so that another instruction from other processors in the same group can be executed.
