    摘要: An IC tester for testing an IC device having clocked circuits operative to process a signal under control of a clock signal with a time delay shift comprises a generator for generating a test signal to be supplied to the IC device under control of a timing signal having a repetition period equal to the period of the clock signal, a generator for generating an expected signal to be hopefully delivered from the IC device in response to the test signal, a shifting circuit for effecting a time delay shift of the expected signal equal to the time delay shift in the clocked circuits in the integrated circuit device, and a comparator for comparing the output signal of the IC device responsive to the test signal with the expected signal delivered through the shifting circuit to thereby determine performance characteristics of the IC device.

    摘要: There is disclosed a dusttight storage cabinet apparatus used for storing works such as wafer cassettes for containing semiconductor wafers. The storage cabinet apparatus includes: a housing having an entrance, formed in its front wall, for allowing works to come in and go out of the housing therethrough; an air supply duct for supplying the inside of the housing with clean air; a vertical rotation shaft rotatably disposed in the housing for turning about its longitudinal axis; a drive motor for turning the rotation shaft; and a rack assembly of a substantially cylindrical structure. The rack assembly is coaxially secured to the rotation shaft and has a plurality of compartments for storing the works therewithin. The compartments open radially outward and are partitioned off from one another so as to prevent cross contamination by dust among the compartments.

    摘要: A semiconductor device in which an insulating layer having a window is formed on a semiconductor substrate, a semiconductor layer is formed on the insulating layer and a semiconductor element is formed on the semiconductor layer, has the advantages of high-speed operation and low power consumption. A conventional manufacturing method involves a high-temperature, time-consuming step by which the semiconductor layer for forming thereon the semiconductor element is formed so that it may have a proper impurity concentration. In the present invention, however, a portion of the semiconductor layer and a portion of the underlying substrate are rendered molten by annealing with an energy beam as of a laser, by which an impurity contained in the substrate is diffused into the semiconductor layer. Accordingly, no high-temperature, time-consuming step is involved in the present invention, permitting the production of a semiconductor device of excellent characteristics.

    摘要: A headphone is designed to have two resonant peaks for simulating loudspeaker reproduction. The headphone comprises a housing in which an electroacoustic transducer with a diaphragm is positioned, wherein the housing is formed with a rearward cavity positioned adjacent to the diaphragm remote from the listener's ear to provide an acoustic compliance to the generated acoustic energy. In order to generate the two resonant peaks to simulate a sensation of realism as if the listener is hearing sound from a loudspeaker, the rearward cavity is communicated with the atmosphere through apertures. The acoustic compliance of the rearward cavity coacts with the apertures to produce two resonant peaks at frequencies corresponding to the frequencies of the peaks which occur in a signal from the loudspeaker.

    摘要: An electric rotating machine is provided which includes a stator in which a coil is so wound as to have an coil end and a coolant channel. The coolant channel has defined therein a flow path through which coolant flows and a flow separator disposed in the flow path and a first and a second coolant outlet. The flow separator works to separate a flow of the coolant into at least a first and a second coolant streams. The first coolant outlet communicates with the first coolant stream, while the second coolant outlet communicates with the second coolant stream. The first and second coolant outlets drain the coolant to different portions of the coil end, thereby cooling almost the whole of the coil end even when the electric rotating machine is tilted undesirably.
