The base station receives feedback information from either a second base station or a subscriber station served by the second base station. The base station selects a codebook vectors or matrices for transmission to subscriber stations based, at least in part, on a portion of the feedback information. The base station is further configured to select which subscriber stations will participate in interference avoidance calculations.

    摘要： A subscriber station is capable of encoding a bandwidth request message. The subscriber station includes a controller and a transmitter coupled to the controller. The transmitter includes a linear channel encoder and a Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation block. The channel encoder uses a generator matrix comprising alphabets from Galois field (GF) (2). Each column of the generator matrix belongs to a twelve dimensional subspace and wherein the code generated using the generator matrix has a minimum hamming distance no greater than thirty.

A first set of said two sets corresponds to codebook information that will cause an interference in a received signal to be less than a threshold. A base station is configured to select a preceding vector or matrix based, in part, on a portion of the feedback information.

The subscriber station includes a transmit path circuitry to transmit uplink control information (UCI) in a subframe comprising one or more resource blocks, each resource block comprising S SC-FDM symbols. Each of the S symbols comprises N virtual subcarriers, and each subcarrier of each symbol comprises a resource element. The subscriber station also includes a UCI symbol allocator to allocate a first vector sequence of HARQ-ACK bits to a control region of each of four symbols of a resource block, the control region allocated for HARQ-ACK bits. The UCI symbol allocator also allocates a second vector sequence of HARQ-ACK bits to a control region of a fifth symbol of the resource block when a condition is met. The control region of the fifth symbol can be allocated for rank information (RI) bits.

The receive path circuitry also receives a first demodulation reference signal for the PUCCH format signal in the first slot of the subframe, where the first demodulation reference signal is determined based at least partly upon a first demodulation reference signal cyclic shift number. The receive path circuitry also receives a second demodulation reference signal for the PUCCH format 3 signal in the second slot of the subframe, where the second demodulation reference signal is determined based at least partly upon a second demodulation reference signal cyclic shift number.
