    摘要： A method for fabricating a facial seal for use in a breathing assistance system is provided. The method includes capturing one or more images of a patient's face. The method further includes translating the one or more images into a set of data representing a three-dimensional structure of at least a portion of the patient's face and fabricating a facial seal to substantially conform to the patient's face based at least on the set of data, including fabricating at least a portion of the facial seal using rapid prototyping or a subtractive manufacturing technique. A method for selecting a facial seal for a breathing assistance system is also disclosed.

    摘要： A patient interface system (30) that includes a patient interface assembly (40) and a headgear assembly (70). The patient interface assembly (40) includes a frame (42), a patient circuit connector (44), a seal member (46), and a coupling assembly (50) extending from the frame. The coupling assembly (50) is directed toward the users forehead when worn. The headgear assembly (70) includes an elongated pad support (72), a headgear attachment element (78) disposed on the pad support (72), a headgear strap (80) coupled to the headgear attachment element (78), and an elongated headgear pad (74) coupled to the pad support (72). The pad support, pad, or both are configured so as to extend from the forehead of the user generally along a centerline of the head and terminate proximate to a top of a head. In addition, a coupling assembly attachment assembly (100) is operatively coupled to the pad support (72) to couple the coupling assembly (50) of the patient interface device to the headgear assembly (70).

The cushion component has an aperture to communicate pressurized gas from the breathing chamber to the user's airways in use, and a main wall portion, opposite from the aperture, extending upwardly away from the frame. The main wall portion includes a stiffening portion.

    摘要： The invention concerns a breathing mask arrangement for feeding a respiratory gas to a patient. The invention further concerns a forehead support device for same. The breathing mask arrangement according to the invention includes an arch body, a sealing lip means for bearing against the surface of the face of a mask user, a respiratory gas conduit means for feeding respiratory gas to a mask internal space which is defined by the arch body and which is in communication with the nose and/or mouth opening of the user of the mask. The breathing mask arrangement according to the invention is distinguished by an application structure for application of the sealing lip means jointly with the arch body, wherein the application structure has a carrier portion on which a respiratory gas conduit member in the form of a docking port is releasably mounted. The forehead support device according to the invention includes a contact element provided in the application position of the breathing mask for bearing against the forehead region of a user of the mask, and a holding device for holding the contact element in tiltably movable manner. By virtue thereof, even when using a contact element of comparatively large area, that provides for good adaptability to the most widely varying facial architectures.
