Abstract: A system and method is presented that extracts snippets form web pages according to specially designed logic. The extracted snippets might be made relevant to, i.e., indexed by, a location and time/day applicability. Such snippets may be thought of as apps or services that are defined only when a mobile terminal is in a pre-defined geographical area at a certain time and day (e.g., as defined by a calendar of events). Extracted snippets are stored and made searchable. Methods and a system are described to control the display of snippet search results. Snippets may be selected by user or by programmed logic and executed on the mobile terminal or in remote servers without the need to download the app or source code associated with the snippet.

Abstract: An system and a method for hazardous accident remediation in a facility is disclosed. The system retrieves a current task information for a user associated with the user's device. The system monitors status information associated with the current task. Upon the detection of an abrupt event, The system identifies chemical content of an item associated with the current task and a chemical content of an item nearby at the time of the abrupt event. The system identifies a resultant chemical product from the reaction of both the chemical contents. The system transmits hazard information to a server responsive to the resultant chemical product posing a human health hazard. The server selectively operates an environmental control system responsive to the chemical product.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for patching content in database systems. One example method includes receiving a deployment package for an upgrade of a database system to a new version. Content is deployed to a shared container. Shared objects are identified that are completely stored in the shared container. First shared content is determined for shared objects. Partially-shared objects are identified that have a shared portion in the shared container and a tenant portion in one or more tenant containers. Second shared content is determined for partially-shared objects. The first shared and second shared content are deployed to the shared container. Local content is determined for the partially-shared objects and deployed to each tenant container. Local objects that have no data in the shared container are identified. Local content is identified for the local objects and deployed to each respective tenant container.

Abstract: A secure searchable and shareable remote storage system and method which utilizes client side processing to enable search capability of the stored data, allow the synchronizing of stored data between multiple discrete devices, and allow sharing of stored data between multiple discrete users. Such a remote storage system and method includes a networked remote computer server which receives and stores encrypted data and manages access thereto and a client device configured to index data to be stored, upload secured data and related information, perform searches on the stored data and related information locally, and implement cryptographic protocols which allow the stored data and related information to be synchronized with other desired client devices. Advantageously, since trusted client-side search code may directly access mostly plaintext data, it may operate orders of magnitude faster than the equivalent server code which may access encrypted data only.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data reduction including organizing data of an event stream into a file access table concurrently with receiving the event stream, the data including independent features and dependent features. A frequent pattern tree (FP-Tree) is built including nodes corresponding to the dependent features according to a frequency of occurrence of the dependent features relative to the independent features. Each single path in the FP-Tree is merged into a special node corresponding to segments of dependent features to produce a reduced FP-Tree. All path combinations in the reduced FP-Tree are identified. A compressible file access template (CFAT) is generated corresponding to each of the path combinations. The data of the event stream is compressed with the CFATs to reduce the dependent features to special events representing the dependent features.
