摘要: A vehicle presence detection system for determining whether a parking space is vacant or occupied and utilizing this information to guide vehicles to available parking spaces. generally includes a LIDAR device, a cloud-based processing unit, a database, and a guidance light. The LIDAR device generally includes a light emitter, a light sensor, a CPU, a memory unit, and a communications device. The LIDAR device determines the distance between itself and a parking spot or a vehicle parked in that parking spot using an algorithm that accounts for variances in the ambient conditions. This status information can be communicated to a cloud-based processing unit, which can store this information in a database and/or use this information to send parking status indications to an autonomous vehicle dynamic sign, mobile device, or guidance light.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a method and a system for identifying a vacant parking space in a parking lot. The method includes receiving, by a parking space identifier, at least one image frame from an imaging device. The method includes determining one or more bounding boxes indicative of one or more vehicles in the at least one image frame and executing vehicle classification on the detected one or more bounding boxes in the at least one image frame to determine at least one first dimension corresponding to each of the one or more vehicles in the portion of the parking lot. Further the method includes comparing at least one second dimension of space in between pairs of non-overlapping bounding boxes and a predefined threshold corresponding to the vehicle classification and determining the vacant parking space associated with the vehicle classification based on the at least one first dimension and the comparison.

摘要: A system and method for assisted or autonomous parking of a vehicle is disclosed. The method may begin when the vehicle approaches a feeder lane within a parking lot. At that point, a computer system may decide whether the vehicle should enter the feeder lane. The computer system may use at least one of machine learning, computer vision, and range measurements to determining whether a condition precedent for entering the feeder lane exists. The condition precedent may include an in-bound arrow on the feeder lane or parking lines and/or a parked vehicle adjacent the feeder lane defining a departure angle less than or equal to ninety degrees. If the condition precedent exists, the vehicle may enter the feeder lane. If the condition precedent does not exist, the vehicle may move on to another feeder lane.
