Abstract:
An image data communication apparatus is connected to an image data source and to a network, and transmits image data attached to an e-mail to a receiving apparatus via the network. The e-mail including a mail from command and a mail message. The image data attached to the e-mail as an openable document. The image data communication apparatus comprises a memory which stores a default information and a panel section configured to input information regarding an identification of a user into the image data communication apparatus. The image data communication apparatus comprises a controller which sets the default information into the mail message of the e-mail to which the image data is attached when the information regarding the identification of the user is not input by the panel section, and sets the information regarding the identification of the user, input by the panel section, into the mail message of the e-mail to which the image data is attached when the information regarding the identification of the user is input.
Abstract:
A facsimile server connected to a mail server and a client over a network, and capable of sending and receiving an e-mail via the mail server. Certain data in a header of an e-mail to be sent to a recipient is used as identification data indicative of an origin of the e-mail. A controller identifies the origin of the e-mail based on the identification data upon receiving reception acknowledgement from the recipient. The facsimile server sends the reception acknowledgement to the client if it determines that the e-mail origin is the client. On the other hand, the facsimile server causes a printer to print the reception acknowledgement if it determines that the e-mail is originated from the facsimile server itself.
Abstract:
In the image processing apparatus, an image data control unit is connected to at least one of an image reading unit, an image memory control unit, an image processing unit, and an image writing unit. The image data control unit receives any one of an image data read by the image reading unit, image data read by the image memory control unit, and image data processed by the image processing unit. The image data control unit transmits the received image data to any of the image memory control unit, the image processing unit, and the image writing unit.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus executes a plurality of types of jobs. In this apparatus, it is determined whether the execution history of each type of job is to be indicated. The execution history is stored if it is determined that it is to be indicated. The execution history is then transmitted to a PC on a network connected to the data processing apparatus and is displayed as a history list.
Abstract:
A system wherein already-existing computing and memory resources in an electronic camera are used to process an image for printing. Rather than duplicating, in printers, computing and memory resources that are already in digital cameras, significant computing and memory resources need exist only in the camera. A digital camera can support many different printers, each with its own set of parameters such as for example print size, pixel size, colorimetry, sensitometry, and artifacts compensation. Printer parameters are uploaded from the printer to the camera to provide a basis for image processing specific to the associated printer; whereby compensation may be done for variations in the printer characteristics which may occur as a result of printer manufacturing variations, and further so that compensation may be done for different media types which may be installed in the printer.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and systems for routing T-37 E-mail over an H 323 (VOIP) network. The methods and systems facilitate the obtaining and utilization of data from Gatekeepers with respect to the utilization of Gateways to be utilized to transmit the E-mail from the network over a conventional telephone network to the recipient. They thereby facilitate the choice of a Gateway which is less heavily utilized.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus transmits facsimile data converted from e-mail data to a facsimile destination via a public communication network. A receiver receives the e-mail data from a requesting node. A memory stores a password and a domain name of a requesting node. An acquiring section acquires a destination address including at least a telephone number, a password and a domain name, from the requesting node. A converter converts the e-mail data into facsimile data. A comparator compares the password and the domain name acquired by the acquiring section, with the password and the domain name stored in the memory, respectively. A facsimile transmitter transmits the converted facsimile data to the facsimile destination designated by the telephone number when a result of the comparison indicates that the password and the domain name acquired are the same as the password and the domain name stored in said memory. Further, when a result of the comparison indicates that the password and the domain name acquired are not the same as the password and the domain name stored in the memory, the facsimile transmitter does not transmit the facsimile data to the facsimile destination.
Abstract:
An image communication system including electronic-mail apparatuses each having a function to add image-file processing information to an image file attached to an electronic mail. The image processing capability of each apparatus is examined in advance. In a transmitting-side apparatus, an image file is generated in accordance with the capability, and an electronic mail, to which the image file is attached, is transmitted to a receiving-side apparatus. Further, if the image file attached to the transmitted electronic mail cannot be processed by the receiving-side apparatus, the receiving-side apparatus notifies the transmitting-side apparatus of clarified cause of,processing failure, further, transmits its image-file processing capability and the unprocessed transmitted electronic mail to the transmitting-side apparatus. Thus, efficient image-file transmission/reception can be performed.
Abstract:
When sending photographic image data obtained in an electronic camera 1 via a communication interface 42 to a radio telephone line of a PDC 3, a PHS 4, etc., an RISC-CPU 11 converts the image data to data having a configuration allowing communication and further converts by software processing the communication-allowing configuration data to data corresponding to the type of the radio telephone line.
Abstract:
A printing control device of the present invention is provided for a digital complex system having an automatic color sensing function and an interleaving print function. In the printing control device, a receiving unit receives a print request. A detection unit detects that a preceding printing task is active when the print request is received. An interleave printing control unit controls the interleaving print function such that, when a print mode of the received print request is different from a print mode of the active preceding printing task, execution of the interleaving print function is inhibited, and only when the print mode of the received print request is the same as the print mode of the active preceding printing task, the execution of the interleaving print operation is allowed.
