    Abstract: A magnetic recording medium is described, which comprises a support having thereon a magnetic layer comprising a ferromagnetic metal powder dispersed in a binder, which is a magnetic recording medium for recording signals of from 0.17 to 2 G bit/inch2 of areal recording density, wherein the coercive force of said magnetic layer is 1,800 Oe or more, said ferromagnetic metal powder comprises Fe and Co, and the atomic ratio of Al/(Fe+Co) is from 3.0 to 15.4%.

    Abstract: A magnetic recording medium is disclosed, which comprises a support having thereon a substantially nonmagnetic lower layer and a magnetic layer comprising a ferromagnetic metal powder or a ferromagnetic hexagonal ferrite powder dispersed in a binder formed on the lower layer, which is a magnetic recording medium for recording signals having areal recording density of from 0.17 to 2 G bit/inch2, wherein the coercive force of the magnetic layer is 1,800 Oe or more, the average long axis length of the ferromagnetic metal powder is 0.15 &mgr;m or less, and the average particle size of the ferromagnetic hexagonal ferrite powder is 0.10 &mgr;m or less; or wherein the dry thickness of the magnetic layer is from 0.05 to 0.30 &mgr;m, &phgr;m is from 10.0×10−3 to 1.0×10−3 emu/cm2, and the coercive force of the magnetic layer is 1,800 Oe or more. The object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic recording medium which is markedly improved in electromagnetic characteristics, particularly, high density recording characteristics, and is excellent in durability: and to provide a high capacity magnetic recording medium, in particular, a disc-like magnetic recording medium, having a high recording capacity of from 0.17 to 2 Gbit/inch2.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic recording medium for high density recording, which has very good repeated running durability and excellent storage stability under high temperature and high humidity conditions. The magnetic recording medium comprises a magnetic layer having ferromagnetic powder and a binder dispersed therein, said magnetic layer being provided on a non-magnetic support, whereby said magnetic layer contains a diester compound expressed by a chemical formula (1) given below: ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents a saturated hydrocarbon group having 5 to 21 carbon atoms, and at least one substance selected from a group of organic phosphorus compounds expressed by the chemical formulae (2) to (4): ##STR2## where R represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group or aryl group, and n represents 1 or 2, and M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or an alkali earth metal.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a frame-supported pellicle for dust-proofing of a photolithographic photomask used for patteriwse light exposure in the manufacturing process of, for example, semiconductor devices, which comprises (a) a frame member, (b) a transparent polymeric film supported by the frame member and (c) a coating layer of a sticky adhesive on one surface of the polymeric film to capture any dust particles in the space between the photomask and the pellicle. The inventive pellicle is imparted with a greatly improved serviceable life with stability against ultraviolet irradiation relative to the adhesive coating layer which is formed from a specific organo-polysiloxane-based adhesive composition.

    Abstract: A fuel property sensor is provided with three bypass passages and a measure passage. The measure passage is located inside of a closed loop which is comprised of common tangential lines of adjacent bypass passages and a part of profile line of each bypass passage in a cross section perpendicular to the measure passage. Even if the fuel property sensor is rotated around the axis of a fuel pipe in assembling the fuel property sensor to the fuel pipe, at least one of two bypass passages is always located above the measure passage in a vertical direction. Hence, bubbles included in the fuel are restricted from flowing into the measure passage. The fuel property sensor can detect the concentration of ethanol contained in the fuel with high accuracy.
