    摘要: Disclosed are stable portable oral care confectionery compositions, which provide enhanced anti-calculus effects, optionally combined with additional oral care benefits. The present invention also relates to use of such compositions to provide improved surface conditioning effects and reduced metal astringency. The confectionery compositions comprise: (i) greater than about 1% of a polyphosphate material having an average anion chain length of greater than or equal to 4; (ii) less than about 10% water; and (iii) a suitable confectionery carrier material comprising less than about 2% elastomer by weight of the composition.

    摘要: Two useful crystal hydrates of 5-acetamido-2,3,4,5-tetradeoxy-4-guanidino-D-glycero-D-galacto-non-2-enopyranosonic acid have either a low or high aspect ratio. These crystalline N-acetyl neurominic acid derivatives are favored for pharmaceutical formulation because of their physical properties. For example, the low aspect ratio crystal has good flow properties, and the high aspect ratio crystal has a stable water content over time.

    摘要: Predictive maintenance method and apparatus for use with heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and/or refrigeration (HVACR) systems are disclosed. The preferred apparatus includes a dozen temperature sensors strategically located within and HVACR system to sense various operating temperatures and three electrical current sensors to sense various operating electrical currents. HVACR system conditions are measured periodically by an on-site service technician and inputted to a computer that identifies and reports the potential trouble spots represented by out-of-range measurements. The computer is programmed to produce graphs, tables and prediction commentary.

    摘要: A solid-solid bonded basic refractory having a chemical composition (calculated as the oxides) consisting essentially of MgO in the amount 25% to 97% by weight, CaO 0.9% to 44% by weight, ZrO.sub.2 2% to 57% by weight, and SiO.sub.2 0.5% to 23.5% by weight, the said basic refractory containing a silicate and an alkaline earth metal zirconate, the CaO/SiO.sub.2 ratio being greater than 1.4, there being at least one part by weight of said alkaline earth metal zirconate for each three parts by weight of said silicate, and the CaO to SiO.sub.2 + ZrO.sub.2 ratio being between 0.32 and 1.40, said alkaline earth metal zirconate being capable of co-existing with any basic solid refractory phase at a temperature of at least 1700.degree. C in which solid-solid bonding is maintained between said zirconate and said solid refractory phase in the presence of a liquid phase at a temperature of at least 1700.degree. C and in which said refractory forms a skeleton of said zirconate bonded to said refractory phase at a temperature of at least 1700.degree. C.
