A class of 8-fluoroimidazo[1,2-α]pyridine derivatives, substituted at the 3-position by an optionally substituted five-membered or six-membered heteroaromatic ring, being selective ligands for GABAA receptors, in particular having high affinity for the α2 and/or α3 and/or α5 subunit thereof, are accordingly of benefit in the treatment and/or prevention of adverse conditions of the central nervous system, including anxiety, convulsions and cognitive disorders.

The waste disposal service panel assembly includes a housing, waste drain valve, rinse/fill valve, handle assembly and service panel door. The housing has a tubular side wall and a base near one end of the side wall. The waste drain valve is at least partially mounted within the housing through the base. The waste drain valve includes an outlet positioned within the housing and an inlet configured to couple to a waste collection tank within a aircraft. The service panel door is pivotally coupled to the housing near an end of the side wall remote from the base. The service panel door has an outer surface configured to substantially match an outer contour of the aircraft's skin, and an outer cap coupled to an inner surface of the service panel door. The outer cap is configured and dimensioned to mate with the outlet to seal the outlet when the service panel door is closed.

In a mobile cellular communication system, adjacent basestations BS1-BS4 are assigned different selections of different frequency channels to communicate with mobiles in their cells (10, etc.). To improve system quality and capacity, a basestation selects a frequency channel which is not assigned to it or any neighbour station, and makes test communications on that frequency channel with mobiles (e.g. MS1) in its cell. The basestation assesses the potential performance of that frequency channel, and neighbour basestations can monitor for potential interference on that frequency channel. The information so gathered can be analysed by an operations maintenance station OMC.

A method of forming an injection moulded lining on a valve body comprises the step of defining a cavity having a main portion which when filled with lining material forms the desired lining, and an extension portion continuous with an edge of the main portion. Lining material is injected into the extension portion until the cavity is filled. Any sprues produced by the injection are on the tab formed by the material in the extension portion and not on the lining proper. Thus, there is no danger of damaging the lining as sprues are removed, and they do not cause local stress in the lining.

Methods are described of processing signals received over a wireless communication channel by a receiver in a wireless cellular network. A method includes receiving a sequence of signal samples. The received sequence of samples can be used to estimate at least one channel coefficient for at least one transmission path. An estimate of an orthogonality factor can be generated based on said at least one channel coefficient. An estimate of the disturbance can be generated based on said at least one estimated channel coefficient. An estimate of input signal power can be generated using the received sequence. An estimate of cell geometry can be generated using the estimated orthogonality factor, estimated disturbance, and estimated input signal power. The estimate of cell geometry can be used in processing received data samples. Related methods of processing digital samples are described. Related receivers are also described.
