摘要: A rechargeable lithium battery includes a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material including lithium cobalt-based oxide, a negative electrode including a carbon-based negative electrode active material and a silicon-based negative electrode active material, a separator between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an electrolyte solution. The silicon-based negative electrode active material is included in an amount of about 0.1 wt % to about 10 wt % based on the total amount of the carbon-based negative electrode active material and the silicon-based negative electrode active material. The electrolyte solution includes a non-aqueous organic solvent, a lithium salt, and an additive, and the additive includes a first compound that is a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1, CsPF6, or a combination thereof, where R1 and R2 are each independently a fluoro group or a C1 to C4 fluoroalkyl group substituted with at least one fluoro group.

摘要: Disclosed are a positive active material for a rechargeable lithium battery, and a rechargeable lithium battery including the same. The positive active material for a rechargeable lithium battery includes a first positive active material including a secondary particle including lithium nickel-based composite oxide wherein in the secondary particle, a plurality of primary particles are aggregated and zirconium on the surface of the secondary particle, and a second positive active material including a single particle including lithium nickel-based composite oxide and zirconium on the surface of the single particle, wherein a ratio of a Zr content (at %) relative to all elements on the surface of the single particle of the second positive active material to a Zr content (at %) to all elements on the surface of the secondary particle of the first positive active material is about 1.5 to about 3.0.

摘要: A battery management device for a battery pack having a plurality of battery modules, includes a detection device detecting state information of battery cells included in the plurality of battery modules, and a control device entering a replacement mode and performing balancing of the plurality of battery modules if at least one battery module among the plurality of battery modules is replaced, activating a first protection function performing a protection operation according to the state imbalance in each battery module while operating in the replacement mode, detecting an imbalance state of cell voltage or state of charge for each of the plurality of battery modules based on the state information if the first protection function is activated, and executing the protection operation if a battery module in the imbalance state satisfies a predetermined first condition is detected among the plurality of battery modules.

摘要: A charge and discharge control device of a battery charges the battery with a constant current in a constant current mode. When the voltage of the battery corresponds to an end-of-charge voltage, the charge and discharge control device converts the constant current mode to a constant voltage mode and thereby charges the battery with a constant voltage. The end-of-charge voltage is set as a first end-of-charge voltage minus a negative electrode threshold potential from the full-charge voltage of the battery, and the negative electrode threshold potential is a potential value of the negative electrode where a negative electrode active material contained in the battery causes a phase change.

摘要: The present invention refers to a battery module comprising a plurality of battery cells, each battery cell including a first terminal and a second terminal spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another, a housing including an upper housing part and a lower housing part assembled together to completely surround the plurality of battery cells, and a plurality of bus bars integrated in the upper housing part, wherein each of the plurality of bus bars is connected to one of the first and second terminals of at least two battery cells. The present invention further refers to a method of manufacturing the battery module, which is fast and easy and has a high tolerance for fluctuations in the battery cells height.
