    摘要: A two-mode limited channel television receiver includes a memory address counter for scanning the locations of a limited position memory in response to generation of a channel number by a channel number counter. Channel numbers and corresponding tuning information may be programmed into and deleted from the limited location only memory. In the programmed channel mode, memory locations with programmed channel numbers are accessed in channel number order. In the skipped channel mode, only unprogrammed channel numbers are produced and displayed to the viewer. In a variation, all channel numbers, both programmed and unprogrammed are produced and displayed. Empty memory locations are automatically accessed when an unprogrammed channel number is generated.

    摘要: A two mode tuning system includes channel counters for determining system tuning by counting the LOF, a channel number comparator comparing the derived channel number with a desired channel number and PLL including a phase comparator for comparing equality pulses from the channel number comparator with a reference frequency. In the first mode the system tunes to a single frequency with the channel counters being operated continuously and the PLL tuning to the frequency corresponding to the selected channel number. In the second mode the system tunes to a frequency window with the channel counters being asynchronously sampled and an AFC circuit maintaining tuning within the window. Tuning cycle control means initiate the single frequency mode in response to a channel number input or an out-of-window tuning indication. The system switches to the tuning window mode after 200ms. Initially tuning to the "center of the tuning window" relaxes the AFC requirements for a wide window system.

    摘要: An all-channel two mode television tuning system includes a two speed counter for generating channel numbers to adjust tuning. An 82 .times. 1 bit read/write memory is addressed in a program mode by the generated channel numbers to provide locations for storage of signals for tuning to preselected channels. In the operate mode channel numbers are again generated and logic circuitry accesses the memory locations to determine if generated channel numbers correspond to preselected channel numbers. Mode selection means control the two speed counter to provide a faster speed in the operate mode than in the program mode. Channel number generation is automatically stopped in the operate mode when correspondence with a preselected channel number is determined.

In the operate mode channel numbers are again generated to access the memory locations and logic circuitry determines if generated channel numbers correspond to preselected channel numbers. Channel skip control circuitry is activated in the operate mode to cause very rapid counting faster than viewer perception whenever non-selected channel numbers are determined and a much slower speed or pause condition when correspondence with a preselected channel number is determined.

    摘要: A near-field wireless communication circuit 10 included in a terminal 1A can perform switching between a normal mode and a near mode which has a relatively short communicable distance and a relatively high transmission rate as compared with those in the normal mode. Further, a controller 13 executes preliminary processing for starting data transmission and reception in the near mode to/from a terminal 1B serving as a communication destination between the terminals 1A and 1B by using the near-field wireless communication circuit 10 which is set to the normal mode. Further, the controller 13 determines the availability of the data transmission and reception in the near mode to/from the terminal 1B by using a measured value of communication quality which has a correlation with a communication distance to the terminal 1B as a measure of the determination. Furthermore, when it is determined that the data transmission and reception in the near node are available, the controller 13 starts the data transmission and reception to/from the terminal 1B by using the near-field wireless communication circuit 10 which is set to the near mode, based on a result of the preliminary processing executed in the normal mode in advance.
