    摘要: A valve for use in a tool positioned in a well that includes a body having a bore and a port connected to permit fluid communication between the well and the bore. A piston is supported in the body for movement between an open position to open the port and a closed position to close the port. A rupture disc is responsive to fluid pressure in the well and ruptures when a predetermined pressure is applied so that fluid pressure is communicated to the piston to move it from the closed position to the open position. A lock member secures the piston in the closed position after the piston moves from the open position to the closed position.

The first fluid region may include the annulus region outside the flow conduit, and the second fluid region may include the flow conduit inner bore.

A chamber is provided in the housing, and a pressure responsive member at an inlet end of the chamber permits fluid communication with the chamber when the pressure applied to the first end of the housing reaches a predetermined pressure.

    摘要: An intelligent completion system includes production tubing configured for production from multiple zones in a wellbore. At least one flow control valve is disposed on the production tubing for each of the multiple zones, this flow control valve capable to regulate the flow of a wellbore fluid into the production tubing. A chemical injection mandrel is disposed on the production tubing adjacent the at least one flow control valve in the each of the multiple zones, this mandrel being connected to at least one chemical injection line for injecting one or more chemicals into the wellbore. A control mechanism is connected to the at least one flow control valve and the chemical injection mandrel such that the injection mandrel and the at least one flow control valve are operated in a coordinated manner.

    摘要: A regulation mechanism configured to automatically close off fluid flow through a line based on flow rate exceeding a predetermined level. This mechanism may be particularly beneficial when employed in conjunction with downhole chemical injection systems that are directed at well locations prone to becoming low pressure in nature. That is, in a conventional system, once the inherent pressure at the downhole end of an injection line exceeds that of the adjacent downhole environment, the flow rate of the column of fluid in the line may naturally increase as chemical is unintentionally emptied into the well. However, use of embodiments of the flow-based regulation mechanism detailed herein may near-automatically prevent such undesirable emptying of chemical into a low pressure well.

    摘要: A retrievable flow control device comprising a housing configured to sealably couple with a completion component. The housing may comprise a first port and a second port establishing a fluid pathway. The fluid pathway may regulate a fluid flow as the fluid flow passes through the fluid pathway. The housing may further comprise a coupling mechanism configured to releasably couple with a corresponding feature of the wellbore completion. The downhole flow control device may be configured to be retrievable independently of the completion component. The flow control device may comprise a check valve in the fluid pathway in order to substantially constrain the fluid flow to a single direction. In some cases, the flow control device may be configured to couple with a side pocket. In other cases, a concentric flow control device may be configured to couple with a screen base pipe, tubing, or stinger.
