    Abstract: Techniques for traffic steering are disclosed. A first signal characteristic of a first connection between an electronic device and a first wireless communications network is determined. A second signal characteristic of a second connection between the electronic device and a second wireless communications network is also determined. Based on the first signal characteristic and the second signal characteristic, the electronic device is prevented from attempting to establish the second connection until one or more establishment criteria are met.

    Abstract: Providing for time sensitive networking (TSN) traffic in high density deployments is described. An access point (AP) is a high density deployment receives a message identifying another AP as a TSN neighbor and also detects a TSN device within an area covered by the APs. This arrangement may cause traffic interruptions for the TSN traffic between the TSN device and the APs. In order to prevent disruption in TSN traffic, a TSN time slot and a resource unit (RU) is determined for each of the APs, and the TSN traffic is communicated between the various devices in network according to the determined TSN time slot and RU.

    Abstract: Handoff assistance across multiple radio access technologies can be provided by identifying a first Qualitative Level of Service (QLoS) of a first network that a User Equipment (UE) is connected to for data transmission; identifying a second QLoS of a second network that the UE is not connected to for data transmission; and in response to determining that a difference between the first QLoS and the second QLoS satisfies a handoff threshold, requesting a first access point in the first network to initiate handoff of the UE to a second access point in the second network or recommending from the first access point to the UE to request such a handoff, wherein handoff disconnects the UE from the first network for data transmission and connects the UE to the second network for data transmission.

    Abstract: Wireless dynamic file exchange is provided by, in response to a triggering network condition occurring, initiating an exchange of a parameter file including non-layer two content via at least one 802.11 message, such as a Generic Advertisement Service (GAS) message between an access point (AP) and a station (STA) connected to the AP; and in response to determining that the exchange was unsuccessful, terminating a connection between the AP and the STA. The parameter file may be sent over several messages and update the parameters for a new session or an existing session. Devices that do not conform to the updated parameters may be disassociated from the AP and re-connect to receive and implement the updated parameters.

    Abstract: A method comprises obtaining, from a client device, a first set of application authentication credentials formatted in accordance with a first authentication protocol. The first set of application authentication credentials corresponds to a first user profile. The method includes translating the first set of application authentication credentials to a second set of application authentication credentials. The second set of application authentication credentials is formatted in accordance with a second authentication protocol different from the first authentication protocol and corresponds to the first user profile. The method includes providing the second set of application authentication credentials to an application authentication system. The method includes, in response to providing the second set of application authentication credentials to the application authentication system, obtaining, from the application authentication system, an application authentication indicator. In response to determining that the application authentication indicator indicates a successful authentication, granting the client device network access.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for configuring ultra-wideband (UWB) communications using out-of-band (OOB) mechanisms are described. An example technique performed by a wireless device includes obtaining, prior to association with an access point (AP), ultra-wideband (UWB) information from the AP via an out-of-band (OOB) communication link between the wireless device and the AP. A location server within a network including the wireless device and the AP is determined based on the UWB information. Configuration information associated with a UWB ranging session from the location server is obtained via the OOB communication link. The UWB ranging session is performed in accordance with the configuration information.
