    Abstract: A control apparatus for a multi-phase rotating electric machine includes at least one electric power converter, a command value calculator and an input voltage determiner. The at least one electric power converter converts DC power into multi-phase AC power and supplies the multi-phase AC power to the rotating electric machine. The command value calculator calculates command values for operating the at least one electric power converter. The input voltage determiner determines whether an input voltage of the at least one electric power converter is within a normal operation range. When the input voltage is determined by the input voltage determiner to be outside the normal operation range, the control apparatus switches control to ignore voltage change or current change caused by the reverse input of an external force to the rotating electric machine from a load side or suppress control fluctuation caused by the reverse input of the external force.

The control unit includes a storage unit storing steer angle information regarding a steer angle of one of a steering mechanism and a steered mechanism when the steering mechanism or the steered mechanism stops, an abnormality determiner determining abnormality of the motor rotation detection value and the detection circuit in the plurality of subsystems at a start time of a motor based on a comparison of at least two parameters, and a steer angle calculator calculating the steer angle based on the parameters having been determined by the abnormality determiner as not abnormal.

    Abstract: A controller of a multiphase rotating electric machine has two inverters outputting an alternating current to two sets of windings, and a control section driving a motor by switching between a “two-system driving mode” supplying power from the two inverters to the two sets of winding and a “one-system driving mode” supplying power from one of the two inverters to the corresponding set of windings, The control section in the one-system driving mode changes at least one of a maximum amplitude and a current phase of the alternating current used in the two-system driving mode to compensate for a reluctance torque generated by a mutual inductance of the two sets of winding in the two-system driving mode.

    Abstract: A rotary electrical machine control apparatus is provided which controls drive of a rotary electrical machine having a plurality of winding sets. The apparatus includes inverters that are provided so as to respectively correspond to the winding sets, a temperature detection element that detects a base element that is used as a base for estimation of inverter temperatures, which are temperatures of the inverters, and a control section that has a temperature estimation section that estimates the inverter temperatures based on the base temperature and a temperature change amount generated due to current application to the inverters. On-resistance of the switching elements of the first inverter is smaller than on-resistance of the switching elements of the second inverter. The temperature detection element is disposed in an area, a distance between the area and the first inverter being shorter than a distance between the area and the second inverter.

    Abstract: A modulation processing unit performs a down-shift process or an up-shift process. In the down-shift process, a neutral-point voltage is shifted towards a low voltage side such that a smallest phase voltage command value is a lower fixed value that is a first lower limit value or a second lower limit value. In the up-shift process, the neutral-point voltage is shifted towards a high voltage side such that a largest phase voltage command value is an upper fixed value that is a first upper limit value or a second upper limit value. The modulation processing unit selects either of a first fixed value, being the first lower limit value or the first upper limit value, and a second fixed value, being the second lower limit value or the second upper limit value, based on a difference between the phase voltage command values in the down-shift process or the up-shift process.

    Abstract: A communication system includes a sensor apparatus transmitting a sensor signal including detection information of a detection target as a digital signal and a microcomputer receiving the sensor signal through a signal line and performing a control operation at a predetermined operation cycle based on the sensor signal that is received. The microcomputer transmits, to the sensor apparatus, a synchronization signal which is synchronized with the predetermined operation cycle of the microcomputer. The sensor apparatus transmits the sensor signal at a predetermined constant cycle except when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received. The sensor apparatus changes a transmission timing of the sensor signal corresponding to the synchronization signal when the synchronization signal transmitted by the microcomputer is received.
