摘要： A thermosiphon for cooling an electronic device having a mean width of dimension “b” comprises a boilerplate having a top surface and including a plurality of pyramid shaped fins projecting upwardly from the top surface. The boilerplate also has a bottom surface for receiving the electronic device to be cooled. A plurality of spaced apart condenser tubes is mounted above the boilerplate such that the boilerplate and the condenser tubes define a vapor chamber therebetween for receiving a working fluid therein. A plurality of convoluted fins extends between each adjacent pair of condenser tubes.

摘要： An evaporative cooler assembly includes a plurality of tubes extending from a refrigerant tank in a spaced relationship to one another with each tube defining a wet air passage. Each pair of adjacent tubes defines a dry air passage extending transversely to the tubes. Each tube includes a plurality of orifices each in fluid communication with the corresponding wet air passage and the adjacent dry air passage. A pair of air ducts are disposed on the refrigerant tank with the tubes being disposed between the air ducts and the air ducts being in fluid communication with the dry air passages whereby a dry air stream flows sequentially through a portion of the dry air passages and into one of the air ducts and through another portion of the dry air passages and into the other air duct until the dry air stream flows out of a dry air outlet as conditioned air.

摘要： An evaporatively pre-cooled seat assembly comprising a seat cushion, an auxiliary cooler, and an evaporative cooler. The evaporative cooler includes a plurality of parallel tubular dry channels and a plurality of tubular wet channels. The dry channels and wet channels are arranged such that they alternate from dry channel to wet channel from channel to channel. Each of the channels is defined by two parallel side walls, a top, and a bottom. A first plurality of dry channels defines a plurality of apertures in the side walls thereof for conveying air out of the respective dry channel and into an adjacent wet channel. A second plurality of dry channels alternates with the first plurality and is disposed between two wet channels and defines a plurality of cooler apertures in the tops thereof for conveying cooled air out of the second plurality of alternating dry channels and to the auxiliary cooler.

摘要： An electronics cabinet for storing a plurality of electronic devices therein is provided and includes a fan and an evaporative cooler. The fan draws a flow of air into the cabinet, circulates the flow of air through the evaporative cooler, and then across the electronic devices for removing heat produced by the electronic devices. The evaporative cooler removes heat from the flow of air by absorbing heat from the flow of air and then dissipating the heat by evaporating a liquid into a secondary airflow, which is directed out of the cabinet. The cabinet includes a cold air plenum having an actuator for adjusting a cross-sectional area of the cold air plenum to control the airflow through each of the supports.

The refrigerated chambers include channel walls extending parallel to one another and spaced apart, and first and second panels extending channel walls to define a working channel for separating the working chamber into sub-chambers. Apertures defined in the panels allow airflow from the sub-chambers into the working channel, and a supply of water wets the panels and a first section of the refrigerated chambers. Air enters the sub-chambers and flows over the first sections of the refrigerated chambers for direct evaporative cooling. A portion of the air bleeds through the apertures and evaporates water from the panels prior to flowing over the second sections of the refrigerated chambers for indirect evaporative cooling.

摘要： An heat exchanger assembly includes a plurality of tubes defining a plurality of parallel refrigerant passages therein carrying a refrigerant longitudinally from an inlet header to an outlet header. Water flows from a reservoir through a distributor apparatus to provide even wetting between the ends of the tubes as the water flows laterally over the tubes between an entry edge and an exit edge. A screen is provided adjacent the exit edge to collect excess water to be deposited into a water tray provided beneath and spaced from the exit edge of the tubes. A pump is provided to move water from the water tray to the reservoir to preserve water. If excess water is lost, such as through evaporation, a supplemental water feed line provides supplemental water to the system.
