    摘要: An efficient apparatus for performing frequency conversion from a final IF frequency to a baseband frequency is described. A counter (401) generates two logical signals G1 (402) and G2 (403) which are passed to an exclusive-OR gate (404) and a multiplexer (406). When a control signal (411) is deasserted, multiplexer (406) passes signal G1 to I1 and signal G2 to I2; when control signal (411) is asserted, multiplexer (406) passes binary signal G1 to I2 (410) and signal G2 to I1 (407). Similarly, multiplexer (405) swaps its input real and imaginary samples when the output of exclusive-OR gate (404) is asserted; otherwise, it performs no operation on its input samples. Signals I1 (407) and I2 (410) are used to control arithmetic inverters (408) and (409) respectively. When the controlling signal for either inverter is asserted, the inverter performs arithmetic inversion, otherwise it performs no operation.

Potentially, these techniques may have the benefit of reducing the system resource drain caused by control channels, particularly control channels in high frequency-reuse, OFDMA systems. A transmitting device (101) transmits primary control channel information to a plurality of user devices (102). The primary control channel information includes an indication that a first OFDMA resource region (e.g., 320 or 330) is assigned to at least one user device of the plurality of user devices. The transmitting device correspondingly transmits secondary control channel information to the at least one user device using the first OFDMA resource region.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for generating a single statically defined downlink reference MCS table consisting of transport block sizes (TBSs) computed for 29 MCSs for each of j PRBs where j=1, . . . , NRBDL. Three entries of the MCS table are reserved for implicit modulation order signaling (e.g. in the downlink) or implicit redundancy version signaling (e.g. in the uplink). Each MCS entry in the table is populated by a TBS and the table entries are accessed based on a 5-bit MCS index and resource allocation information, indicating the number of PRBs is signaled via a scheduling message which may be a grant or assignment message. A grant or assignment message may further include a 5-bit MCS field for each transport block which, along with the resource allocation information, enables the UE to determine the scheduled TBS.

    摘要: A broadband cellular network (BCN) provides a user equipment (UE) access to TVWS resources. The BCN authorizes the UE to access TVWS resources by conveying a mobile device identifier received from the UE, and a cell identifier associated with the UE's coverage area, to a Federal Communications Commission (FCC)-certified Database and receiving, from the Database, and storing an FCC ID associated with the UE and a set of available TVWS resources. The BCN then conveys, to the UE via a broadband cellular technology, a channel resource information element (CRIE) that includes the cell identifier and identifies the set of available TVWS resources. Subsequently, the BCN re-authorizes the UE to access TVWS resources based on the stored FCC ID and without re-conveying the mobile device identifier to the Database. The BCN further utilizes broadband cellular technology procedures to provide a “virtual” contact verification signal (VCVS) to the UE.
