The mounting bed and the yoke are provided with solenoid coils opposed to a permanent magnet provided on the frame, and a pair of bearings are arranged between the mounting bed and the counter balancer constituting member. A position sensor for the mounting bed and the counter balancer is provided. A controller is provided to control a current and direction of the solenoid coil by a detection signal from the position sensor. The mounting bed integral with the hammer bank and the counter balancer are shuttle-operated in opposite directions by the controller.

    摘要: A structure for supporting a magnetic head slider for a linear magnetic disk unit comprises: a magnetic head slider having air bearing rails located opposite to a magnetic disk so as to extend in a direction of a track of the magnetic disk; a gimbal for elastically supporting the magnetic head slider, the gimbal being bonded to a back surface of the magnetic head slider on a side reverse to the air bearing rail; and a support arm having the gimbal secured to its distal end, whose axis extends in a direction perpendicular to the air bearing rail, which support arm gives the magnetic head slider a pressing force toward the magnetic disk. The gimbal includes: a substantially rectangular joining portion to be bonded to the back surface of the magnetic head slider, the joining portion having longer sides extending in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the support arm and shorter sides extending in the axial direction of the support arm; a bridging portion to be bonded to the back face of the magnetic head slider, the bridging portion extending from a middle portion of the lower side of the joining portion on the opposite side to the support arm outwardly in the axial direction of the support arm; flexible portions extending from the bridging portion so as to surround the bridging portion and the joining portion; and a support portion extending from the flexible portions on the opposite side to the bridging portion rearward in the axial direction of the support arm.

    摘要: A head arm for use in a magnetic disk drive, comprising a guide arm disposed between a magnetic head and an actuator so as to transmit actuating force of the actuator to the magnetic head thereby guiding the magnetic head along a plane of a magnetic disk, a printed circuit fixed to the guide arm, and deflection compensating member for making the coefficients of thermal expansion of said guide arm and said printed circuit substantially equal to each other in at least the direction of seek of the head arm. No thermal deformation in an out-of-plane direction occurs on such a head arm regardless of any variation in the temperature of the environment in which the magnetic disk drive is installed. A head arm may also comprise a guide arm and a printed circuit formed of a moisture absorptive material and covered at all or part of its surfaces with a covering layer formed of a moisture resistive material not permeable to moisture. No deformation in an out-of-plane direction occurs on such a head arm regardless of any variation in the humidity of the environment in which the magnetic disk drive is installed. Therefore, the possibility of occurrence of off-track can be minimized.

The compound (I) is also an intermediate compound serving for the purpose of improving the optical purity of (1R,5S,6S,7R)-3,3-ethylenedioxy-6-hydroxymethyl-7-(2'-tetrahydropyranyloxy)bicyclo[3.3.0]octane. The compound (I) is prepared by reacting (1R,5S,6S,7R)-3,3-ethylenedioxy-6-hydroxymethyl-7-(2'-tetrahydropyranyloxy)bicyclo[3.3.0]octane with tert-butylchlorodiphenylsilane in the presence of a base and removing the ethylenedioxy and tetrahydropyranyl groups of the resultant compound under an acid condition.

    摘要: A combustor of a gas turbine having a double wall construction in one part of the combustor, wherein an outer plate is formed with a multiplicity of cooling air inlet apertures and an inner plate is formed with a multiplicity of cooling air outlet apertures. The inner and outer plates are connected together by a multiplicity of connectors formed of heat conductive material and define therebetween a space. The cooling air inlet apertures are greater in diameter but smaller in total area than the cooling air outlet apertures which are inclined at an angle of 30 degrees. Cooling air introduced into the space through the cooling air inlet apertures impinge on the inner surface of the inner plate and performs impinge cooling while the connectors perform pin fin cooling. The cooling air also performs film cooling as it flows along the outer surface of the inner plate after cooling the walls of the cooling air outlet apertures while being released.

    摘要: In a method for reforming low grade coal to a carbonaceous material suitable for the production of metallurgical coke, steam coal (noncoking coal), such as sub-bituminous coal, brown coal, etc., is mixed with a catalyst, a co-catalyst (sulfur) and a hydrocarbonaceous heavy oil, and the mixture is thermally reformed in a reducing gaseous atmosphere at elevated pressure and temperature (400.degree. to 450.degree. C.) and the resultant reaction mixture is distilled at a reduced pressure of 40-150 mm Hg and at a temperature of 280.degree. to 350.degree. C. An iron type catalyst is used in proportions up to 3 wt.% based on the coal (on an ash-free, dry basis). The sulfur and heavy oil are recycled.

    摘要: A submarine cable laying system having an underwater cable laying device towed by a cable laying ship along the sea bottom is disclosed. The underwater cable laying device comprises a cable depressing wheel, a mechanism for elevating and lowering the cable depressing wheel, means detecting passage of repeaters and the like under said cable depressing wheel, and means for detecting the length of a part of the cable having been laid by the cable laying device. The output signals of the two detecting means are sent to a controlling device provided on said cable laying ship, and are so processed that the output signal from the controlling device can control the elevation or lowering of the cable depressing wheel automatically each time the repeaters or the like pass through the cable depressing wheel.
