Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method of adaptive media streaming includes receiving a cipher media stream at a media device. The cipher media stream is compliant with a media compression standard. The cipher media stream is decrypted and decoded using an inverse stream cipher algorithm and a compressed media stream is generated by combining the cipher media stream with a keystream.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method of streaming media includes partitioning a media stream to be transmitted into a first stream of media segments at a media server. The first stream of the media segments has a first sequence. An index table is generated to identify the first sequence of the first stream of the media segments. The index table is encrypted using a key. A second stream of the media segments is generated. The second stream has a second sequence, which is random relative to the first sequence. The encrypted index table and a transcoded media stream having the second stream of the media segments are transmitted.
Abstract:
Catalyst systems and methods of forming the catalyst systems are described herein. The methods generally include contacting a support material with an activator to form a support composition, contacting a component with at least a portion of an aluminum containing compound including TIBAl, wherein the component is selected from the support composition, the transition metal catalyst compound and combinations thereof and contacting the support composition with a transition metal catalyst compound to form a supported catalyst system.
Abstract:
In an image processing method, an object is located within an image. An area around the object is determined and divided into at least first and second portions based upon image information within the area. The object can then be classified based upon both image information in the first portion of the area and image information in the second portion of the area.
Abstract:
Oxazolidinium compounds are formed by the reaction of a halohydrin or an epoxide with a secondary amine and an aldehyde or a ketone. The oxazolidinium compounds are formed directly and do not require the reaction of a pre-formed oxazolidine with an alkylating agent. The compounds are useful as gas hydrate inhibitors in oil and gas production and transportation.
Abstract:
This invention proposes an automatic retransmission controller and a retransmission block recombination apparatus, of which the automatic retransmission controller comprises a responsive reception unit that receives the information fed back from the receiver; a retransmission judging unit that determines coded data blocks to be retransmitted according to the information received by the responsive reception unit; and a data acquisition unit that acquires a part of data in each of the coded data blocks to be retransmitted judged by the retransmission judging unit for recombination to form a retransmission coded block, when the number of the coded data blocks to be transmitted is more than one.
Abstract:
Reversible watermarking methods enable auxiliary data to be embedded in data sets, such as images, audio, video and software. The reversible nature of the method enables the original data set to be perfectly restored. Control systems with feedback loops are used to optimize embedding based on distortion or auxiliary data capacity constraints. The watermarking may be applied recursively to embed several layers, where subsequent layers are embedded into a previously watermarked data set. To recover the original data, each layer is extracted and the data restored in reverse order of the embedding. Sets of elements that are expanded to carry auxiliary data in each layer overlap or are interleaved to maximize embedding capacity or quality of the host data.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a decorrelator, a compressive sampler coupled to the decorrelator, and an encoder coupled to the compressive sampler, wherein the compressive sampler is configured to receive sparse data and compress the sparse data using compressive sampling. Also included is a network component comprising at least one processor configured to implement a method comprising decorrelating sparse data or data including sparse data, compressing the sparse data using compressive sampling, and encoding the data. Also included is a method comprising receiving a data stream comprising a sparse data portion, compressing the sparse data portion using compressive sampling, and compressing the remaining data portion without using compressive sampling.
Abstract:
Method employing a supported metallocene catalyst composition in the production of an isotactic ethylene propylene co-polymer. The composition comprises a metallocene component supported on a particulate silica support having average particle size of 10-40 microns, a pore volume of 1.3-1.6 ml/g, a surface area of 200-400 m 2/g. An alkylalumoxane cocatalyst component is incorporated on the support. The isospecific metallocene is characterized by the formula: B(CpRaRb)(FlR′2)MQn (1) or by the formula: B′(Cp′R′aR′b)(Fl′)M′Q′n′ (2) In the formulas Cp and Cp′ are substituted cyclopentadienyl groups, Fl and Fl′ are fluorenyl groups, and B and B′ are structural bridges. R′ are substituents at the 2 and 7 positions, Ra and R′a are substituents distal to the bridge, and Rb and R′b are proximal to the bridge. M and M′ are transition metals, Q′ is a halogen or a C1-C4 alkyl group; and n′ is an integer of from 0-4.
