摘要： After an output signal S4 is level-inverted, first and second shorting FETs 55, 56 as a level-inversion inhibiting circuit inhibit level-inversion so that the signal is maintained to the inverted state. Thereafter the inhibition of level-inversion is released, when the signal is subsequently level-inverted at a proper time according to a desired duty ratio of a PWM signal S1. Thus chattering can be prevented and thereby a PWM signal S1 of a stable duty ratio can be generated, even if the level of a reference signal S3 fluctuates due to a noise or the like during vehicle acceleration, for example.

摘要： This invention is intended to perform a mounting/dismounting or replacement of a print head and ink tank mounted on the carriage without contaminating a print medium including a tray when performing an ink jet printing using the tray. For this purpose, the tray guide that supports the tray so that it can be fed is removably mounted to the printing apparatus. Whether this tray guide is mounted to the printing apparatus is detected by the tray guide sensor. According to a result of detection by this tray guide sensor, the control unit for controlling the driving of the carriage controls the position of the carriage in the main scan direction.

摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus includes a carriage on which is mountable a recording head provided with discharge ports to discharge ink and which is movable to move the head, a movable cap to cover the discharge ports, and a pump to suck ink from the discharge ports through the cap when the cap covers the discharge ports. A controller controls the recording head to wait for a given period of time in a position facing the cap before the carriage is moved to carry the recording head, subsequent to suction by the pump and separation of the cap from the recording head. This arrangement reduces the possibility that a recording material will be stained by ink following a suction of ink by the pump.
