摘要: Co-cured urethane and vinyl ester, epoxy, or unsaturated polyester gel coats having improved toughness and flexibility compared with conventional polyester gel coats are disclosed. The gel coats, which have 10-50 wt. % urethane content, adhere well to structural layers and can be used in a traditional in-mold process. Co-cured elastomeric coatings comprising from 50 to 95 wt. % of a urethane component and an unsaturated polyester, epoxy, or vinyl ester are also disclosed. Unlike conventional urethane coatings, the elastomeric coatings adhere well to structural layers and can be used in a traditional in-mold process. Castings or structural layers comprising a reinforced thermoset of co-cured urethane and vinyl ester, epoxy, or unsaturated polyester components, including 10-95 wt. % of the urethane component, are also described. The invention includes in-mold processes for making laminates that utilize the gel coats, elastomeric coatings, and/or structural layers. The in-mold process gives flexible, durable, urethane-containing laminates having good interlayer adhesion.

摘要: The foam and fiber composite can provide an absorbent article with improved dryness and an improved liquid distribution capability. The foam and fiber composite can be formed from at least two materials. The first material is an open cell foam material and the second material is a fibrous material. A plurality of the fibers forming the fibrous material can be fluid inserted into the open cell foam material thereby forming the foam and fiber composite. In various embodiments, the foam and fiber composite can be incorporated into an absorbent article as a component of an absorbent system located between a topsheet layer and a backsheet layer of the absorbent article.

摘要: Disclosed, among other things, are ways to manufacture reduced density thermoplastics using rapid solid-state foaming and machines useful for the saturation of plastic. In one embodiment, a foaming process may involve saturating a semi-crystalline polymer such as Polylactic Acid (PLA) with high levels of gas, and then heating, which may produce a reduced density plastic having high levels of crystallinity. In another embodiment, a foaming process may produce layered structures in reduced density plastics with or without integral skins. In another embodiment, a foaming process may produce deep draw structures in reduced density plastics with or without integral skins. In yet another embodiment, a foaming process may utilize additives, blends, or fillers, for example. In yet another embodiment, a foaming process may involve saturating a semi-crystalline polymer such as Polylactic Acid (PLA) with high levels of gas, and then heating, which may produce a reduced density plastic having high levels of crystallinity.

摘要: A pouch case of the present disclosure includes an inner resin layer, a metallic layer, and an outer resin layer, wherein the resin layer(s) include(s) a foaming activator containing an isocyanate-based compound and a polyol compound. Accordingly, since the pouch case includes the inner resin layer and/or the outer resin layer including the foaming activator, when moisture or the like is permeated thereto due to an external factor, a protective layer including urethane-based foam is formed in the outer resin layer or between the inner resin layer and an electrode assembly in a short time, so that the pouch case and the electrode assembly may be protected, moisture which is permeable into the electrode assembly may be blocked, and separator cracking also may be prevented. Accordingly, explosion which may be caused by moisture permeation, separator cracking, or a short circuit by contact between the pouch case and the electrode assembly, or the like, may be prevented, and stability of a pouch type secondary battery may thus be ensured.

摘要: A method of making absorbent foam composites and absorbent foam composites produced therefrom. The method comprises casting an absorbent foam layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side onto a barrier layer having a first side and second side opposite the first side, where the second side of the absorbent foam layer is in contact with the first side of the barrier layer; joining a second absorbent layer to the second side of the barrier layer before, during, or after the casting step; and breaching the barrier layer after the casting step so that the foam layer and second absorbent layer are in fluid communication. The absorbent foam composites can be used in a variety of applications, including personal hygiene articles, medical bandages, pet pads and agricultural pads.

摘要: Provided is a double-faced PSA sheet having excellent detergent resistance. The PSA sheet according to this invention comprises a PSA layer and is adhesive on both faces. The PSA sheet shows a push-peel strength of 30 N/cm2 or greater after a detergent immersion test involving immersion in a standard detergent at 40° C. for 24 hours. It also has an adhesive strength retention rate of 50% or higher, determined as the ratio of push-peel strength P2 after the detergent immersion test to push-peel strength P1 before the detergent immersion test.
