Abstract:
An example of the present disclosure provides a method of selecting access. The method of selecting access may include the steps of: selecting a first access point name (APN) that does not support IP flow mobility and seamless offload (IFOM) according to a first setting related to APN-based routing; checking a preferred flag when wireless local area network (WLAN) access for the IFOM is selected according to a second setting related to routing resulting in a collision between the first setting and the second setting; and using any one of the first setting and the second setting according to the preferred flag.
Abstract:

A method for selecting an access network by a user equipment (UE) may comprise: determining whether at least one cellular access network is overloaded; determining whether at least one wireless local area network (WLAN) access network is overloaded; determining priorities for the at least one cellular access network and at least one WLAN access network; and selecting one access network among the at least one WLAN access network based on information for access network selection, if the at least one WLAN access network is determined to have a higher priority than the at least one cellular access network, and if each the at least one cellular access network is determined to be overloaded and each of the at least one WLAN access network is determined to be overloaded.
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method for transmitting data of a machine type communication (MTC) device. The method for transmitting data of an MTC device comprises the steps of: receiving a mobility management (MM) latency timer from a mobility management entity within a network; operating the MM latency timer; determining whether data to be transmitted is generated before the expiration of the MM latency timer; and transmitting the data to be transmitted through an uplink NAS message even though the MM latency timer has not expired when the data to be transmitted is generated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for managing a user equipment (UE), by a base station (eNodeB), in a wireless communication system supporting a proximity service (ProSe). More particularly, the method comprises the steps of: determining the connection state of a UE; and starting a radio resource control (RRC) inactivity timer when the connection state of the UE is idle, wherein the connection state is determined according to whether the UE performs infrastructure communication and whether the UE performs ProSe communication.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for processing a NAS signaling request. A method for performing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling process by means of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a first message that includes information indicating a network failure from a network node of a first network; a step of starting a timer relating to a network selection; and a step of selecting a second network from among network candidates excluding the first network during the operation of the timer relating to a network selection.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more particularly, to a method and apparatus for performing a proximity service in a wireless communication system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for allowing a first Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) terminal to perform a proximity service (ProSe) in a wireless communication system can comprise the steps of: allowing the first IMS terminal to transmit a first session initiation protocol (SIP) message containing ProSe communication request information to a second IMS terminal through a network node; and receiving a second SIP message containing ProSe communication response information from the second IMS terminal through the network node.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for processing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling request. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for enabling a terminal to perform the NAS signaling process in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving a first message comprising information for indicating network failure from a network node of a first network; starting a timer related to network selection; and selecting a second network among the network candidates except for the first network when the timer related to network selection is operated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a machine-type communication (MTC) monitoring method. The MTC monitoring method includes the steps of: detecting an MTC monitoring-related event while an MTC device in operation having a first priority drives a delay timer; and, when the detected event needs to be reported, transmitting a request message including a report for the detected event to a network node even when the delay timer is being driven, wherein the request message can include an indicator indicating that the request message has been transmitted due to the event detection.
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method for connecting an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-based service in a terminal. The method for connecting the IMS-based service, includes the steps of: setting a cause value denoting signaling or due to the IMS in an establishment cause field, when a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based message is required to be transmitted on a user plane for connecting the IMS-based service; transmitting a service request message of a non-access stratum (NAS) layer including service type (field) denoting signaling or due to a base station; and transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) connection request message including the set establishment cause field to the base station.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and a device for controlling a backoff timer on the basis of multipriority in a wireless communication system. The method for controlling a backoff timer in a terminal in which multipriority is set, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a network node, a non access stratum (NAS) request message which is set to a first priority level and does not have an access point name (APN); receiving a reject message for the NAS request message from the network node; and starting a session management (SM) backoff timer on the basis of the rejection message, wherein while the SM backoff timer is operated, the terminal is permitted to transmit a new NAS request message which is not set to the first priority level.
