    摘要: A compressor comprises a plurality of compression chambers used for compressing gas. A gas chamber includes one of a suction chamber for supplying the gas to the compression chambers and a discharge chamber for receiving the compressed gas from the compression chambers. A plate member is located between the compression chambers and the gas chamber. The plate member has a plurality of ports respectively arranged in association with the compression chambers for connecting each compression chamber with the gas chamber. A plurality of valve flaps are respectively arranged in association with the ports. Each of the valve flaps faces the plate member to selectively open and close the associated port. Each valve flap has a proximal end supported on the plate member. The plate member has at least one groove formed thereon and facing the proximal end of each valve flap. Foreign matter enters between the proximal end of each valve flap and the plate member and is collected by the groove. The groove extends over at least two valve flaps.

A circumferentially outer part of the movable scroll portion has a flat end surface and a chamferred surface. The chamferred surface tapers outwardly at an angle relative to the flat end surface greater than an allowable tilt angle of the movable scroll. A circumferentially inner part of the scroll portion includes a flat end surface only which has a groove to receive a tip seal, the tip seal having a height greater than a depth of the groove. The circumferentially outer part has an identical outer diameter to that of the base plate portion, and the base plate portion and the scroll portion are simultaneously machined.

    摘要: A movable scroll element for a scroll type compressor is produced by a combination of a mold casting process and a machining process. The mold casting process produces a cast product having an end-plate forming portion, a spiral-member-forming portion and a projecting portion for forming a drive power receiving portion. The cast product has an entire outer faces covered with black scale, and the machining process machines the end-plate-forming portion, a spiral member forming portion, the projecting portion by cutting. Nevertheless, at least an outer circumference of the drive power receiving portion, i.e., a boss portion of the movable scroll element is covered with an outermost layer consisting of black scale. Thus, a sufficient mechanical strength of the movable scroll element is obtained even if the wall thickness of the drive power receiving portion, i.e., the boss portion of the movable scroll element, is reduced.

    摘要: A compressor has a fixed scroll and a movable scroll which has a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is opposed to the fixed scroll to define a displaceable fluid pocket. The movable scroll is supported on a rotary shaft via an eccentric pin to move along a predetermined orbit around an axis of the rotary shaft. Gas is introduced into and compressed in the fluid pocket. A boss is formed with the second surface of the movable scroll. A bushing is supported on the eccentric pin and rotatably received by the boss. The rotary shaft has an inner end surface for securely supporting the eccentric pin. A holding member engages the eccentric pin to hold the bushing in a predetermined position on the eccentric pin in corporation with the inner surface of the rotary shaft. A balance weight is secured around the bushing to cancel a dynamic imbalance of the movable scroll due to the orbital movement of the movable scroll.

    摘要: When a rotary shaft of a scroll type compressor rotates and a movable scroll of the compressor makes an orbital movement around the axis of a rotary shaft by way of an eccentric shaft, refrigerant gas is supplied to compression chambers between a fixed scroll and the movable scroll. A first bearing rotatably supports the rotary shaft. A second bearing is provided between the movable scroll and the eccentric shaft to permit relative movement therebetween. A balance weight attached to the movable scroll dynamically balances the movable scroll during its rotation. A crank chamber accommodates the balance weight. A suction port is so provided in the housing as to communicate with the crank chamber, and permits the refrigerant gas to be supplied into the housing. A passage is formed in the balance weight, the eccentric shaft and the rotary shaft to supply the refrigerant gas into a first gap between the first bearing and the rotary shaft and a second gap between the second bearing and the movable scroll.

    摘要: A scroll compressor having a stationary scroll member and a rotary scroll member. The compressor is provided with a mechanism for obtaining an orbital movement of the rotary scroll member while preventing a rotation thereof about its own axis. The mechanism has a stationary and a rotary ring arranged in parallel and spaced from each other. These rings form a plurality of circumferential spaced facing pairs of circular holes. The mechanism also has shoes arranged in the respective holes and balls arranged between the shoes in the facing pair of holes. The shoes can maintain a parallel location with respect to the corresponding holes, since the shoes are movable relative to the ball. A sealtight contact of the rotary scroll member with the stationary scroll member is realized over a prolonged period.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor that draws refrigerant from a suction pressure zone and discharges the refrigerant to a discharge pressure zone, and controls displacement according to a pressure in a control pressure chamber. The compressor has a cam body, pistons, a supply passage, a release passage, and an on-off valve. The inclination angle of the cam body is changeable based on the pressure in the control pressure chamber. A piston reciprocates in each cylinder bore as the cam body rotates. The supply passage supplies the refrigerant in the discharge pressure zone to the control pressure chamber. The release passage releases the refrigerant in the control pressure chamber to the suction pressure zone. The on-off valve selectively opens and closes the release passage in response to changes of the temperature. The on-off valve shuts off the release passage when the temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature.
