    摘要: In the display device, a light source unit, a louver, a transparent/scattering state switching element, and a transmissive liquid crystal panel are provided in sequence, an optical waveguide and a cone sheet are provided to the light source unit, and a light source is disposed on the side of the optical waveguide. The light-exiting surface of the optical waveguide is made flat, and a tilted surface that is tilted to the side of the light source with respect to the light-exiting surface is formed in a light diffusing surface. A flat plate is provided to the cone sheet, and a plurality of circular cones are arranged two-dimensionally on the light-incident surface of the flat plate. The central axes of the circular cones are parallel to each other. The transparent/scattering state switching element is capable of switching between a state for transmitting incident light and a state for scattering the light. By this configuration, a light source device is obtained having high directivity, high luminance, and no limitations on the mounting position of the light source.

    摘要: A light source device which is uniform in the intensity of distribution of an emitted light and high in the optical utilization efficiency, a display device which is high in recognability and is energy-saving, and an information terminal are provided. A reflecting portion is formed on a surface opposed to an emitting surface of a linear light guide. The reflecting portion is periodically formed with a total reflecting surface guiding a light incident on a linear light guide from a point light source, a light extracting surface allowing the light to reflect in such a way as to emit the light guiding the linear light guide from the emitting surface, and a re-incidence plane which takes the light transmitted but not reflected on the light extracting surface into the linear light guide again. By changing the size of the light extracting surface and the re-incidence plane, the intensity of distribution of the emitting light from the linear light guide can be made uniform.

    摘要: A method of displaying a color video picture according to a field sequential process is provided. A display device displays an image comprising a matrix of pixels. One frame image is composed of four field images ranging from a first field image to a fourth field image. With four adjacent pixels handled as one unit, the colors R, G, B, W of illuminating lights applied to the pixels in each unit are different from each other, and the arrangement of the colors is successively switched or changed in each field period. Information representing the colors R, G, B, W separated from a video signal is displayed sequentially in successive fields at positions corresponding to the colors of the illuminating lights applied to the pixels and times at which the illuminating lights are applied to the pixels.

    摘要: A light source apparatus permits an angular range of illumination light to be changed and can be made thin. A related display apparatus permits a visible angular range to be changed using the light source apparatus. The display apparatus can be mounted in a terminal device, and an optical member and an optical unit can be incorporated in the light source apparatus. The light source apparatus is provided with a light guide plate with a conical sheet provided in front. Two light sources are provided on side surfaces of the light guide plate. Two inclined surfaces whose inclination angles to a light output surface differ from each other are formed at a light diffusion surface of the light guide plate. The conical sheet is provided with a flat plate portion on the back side of which a plurality of cones are formed. The cones protrude toward the light guide plate.

    摘要: There are here provided a low-hygroscopic sulfur-containing and crosslinked structure-having urethane resin, urethane resin plate and shape-recoverable molding article which is prepared by first selecting a polyisocyanate compound having m (which is an integer of 2 or more) isocyanate groups in one molecule and a polythiol compound having n (which is an integer of 2 or more) thiol groups in one molecule so that the total number of m+n may be 5 or more, and then polymerizing the composition of the polyisocyanate compound and the polythiol compound; a low-hygroscopic sulfur-containing urethane coating material which comprises the above composition; and a low-hygroscopic sulfur-containing urethane adhesive which comprises the composition. In the resin of the present invention, its water absorption is as low as a level of 0.02 to 0.20% by weight, and its adhesion to a hard coating film is also good. The coating material and the adhesive of the present invention have a long pot life, a low water absorption and a high adhesive force even after dipping in warm water.
