摘要: A drive unit includes a drive pulley connected to a drive source, a driven pulley connected to a target to be moved, at least one relay pulley for transmitting power from the drive pulley to the driven pulley, a plurality of belts including a first belt entrained around the drive pulley and the relay pulley, and a second belt entrained around the relay pulley and the driven pulley, a first tension application device, and a second tension application device. The first tension application device contacts the first belt to provide tension thereto. The second tension application device contacts the second belt to provide tension thereto. A cyclic speed variation component of the first belt in one rotation period transmitted to the driven pulley via the relay pulley and a speed variation component of the second belt in one rotation period transmitted to the driven pulley counteract each other.

摘要: An image encoding method in which when transmitting or storing an image, a frame of the image is divided into predetermined-sized processing regions, and for each processing region, a pixel value of each pixel is predicted for the encoding. The method includes a step that determines one pixel value, which is assigned to and represents each object in the processing region, to be an object pixel value that is associated with an object identifier for identifying the relevant object; a step that generates, based on each object pixel value and the pixel value of each pixel in the processing region, an object map that indicates which object has been obtained at each pixel in the processing region, by using the object identifier; a step that generates a predicted image for the processing region by assigning the object pixel value to each pixel in accordance with the object map; a step that encodes the object map; a step that encodes each object pixel value; and a step that performs predictive encoding of an image signal for the processing region by using the predicted image.

摘要: When the entire image is divided into regions, each of which is subjected to predictive encoding while predicting an image signal by using an independent method assigned to the region, the object number and a representative pixel value for each object are predicted utilizing spatial continuity for the presence of the object, and also using decoded pixel values of a previously-processed neighbor region adjacent to a processing region. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the amount of code required for encoding the object number in the processing region or the pixel value as a representative of each object in the processing region, where these encoded items are required in highly accurate image signal prediction which can handle any object shape by utilizing the pixel value as a representative of each object in the processing target region and information for identifying the object assigned to each pixel in the processing region. Therefore, efficient image encoding can be implemented. Since the employed decoded pixel values of pixels in a previously-decoded neighbor region are common information between the encoding and decoding sides, appropriate prediction can be performed even in the case where one of multiple image signal prediction modes is selected for each region, like in H.264.

摘要: A semiconductor apparatus that constitutes a step-down type switching regulator is disclosed. The semiconductor apparatus includes a switching transistor, an inductor, a transistor for rectification, and a transistor for synchronous rectification. The transistor for rectification is connected between a connecting point where the switching transistor and the inductor L1 are connected and ground potential; and a gate of this transistor is connected to the connecting point. The transistor for synchronous rectification is connected parallel to the transistor for rectification. A control signal is provided to a gate of the transistor for synchronous rectification so that a switching operation that is opposite to an operation of the switching transistor may be performed. The transistor for synchronous rectification is arranged closer to the connecting point than the transistor for rectification.

摘要: The whole reflection signal and a tracking error signal are detected while an objective lens is being moved in the radial direction of an optical disk, and the temporal difference between a time at which the value of the whole reflection signal becomes a maximum and a time at which the value of the tracking error signal becomes zero is detected in a predetermined time period. In addition, a value which is obtained by dividing the temporal difference by the time period of one cycle of the tracking error signal is acquired as a tilt appearance magnitude. Relational information in which a tilt appearance magnitude and a tilt correction magnitude corresponding to the tilt appearance magnitude are associated is read out, and the relational information read out and the current tilt appearance magnitude detected by a tilt-appearance-magnitude detection circuit are compared, thereby to determine the tilt correction magnitude necessary for a tilt correction. The tilt correction magnitude is notified to a tilt correction circuit, and is used in making the tilt correction.

摘要: A step-down switching regulator is disclosed that includes a first switching element, a smoothing circuit part including an inductor and a second switching element for synchronous rectification, a switching controller circuit part, and a reverse current detector circuit part that detects a reverse current flowing from the inductor to the second switching element and interrupts the reverse current by causing the switching controller circuit part to turn off the second switching element upon detection of the reverse current. Detecting a change in a set voltage, the reverse current detector circuit part stops, for a predetermined period of time, the operation of causing the switching controller circuit part to turn off the second switching element due to detection of the reverse current, and after the predetermined period of time is over, causes the switching controller circuit part to turn off the second switching element upon detection of the reverse current.
