摘要： A broadcast program recording apparatus is provided in which ease of operation is improved for selecting a broadcast program to be entered by making it possible to enter a broadcast program to be recorded, by using EPG data, even when a broadcast program which is being currently broadcast is being recorded. The broadcast program recording apparatus includes a tuner section for receiving a broadcast program containing broadcast program information, an EPG decoder for decoding the broadcast program information received by the tuner section, a controller having recording management information which is created by extracting a broadcast program to be recorded from the decoded EPG data, and a recording section for recording the broadcast program on the basis of the recording management information. The controller compares the current time with a broadcast program start time contained in the EPG data, and enters a new broadcast program into the recording management information when the current broadcast program is to be changed or immediately after it is changed.

摘要： An electronic apparatus of the present invention has a first unit and a second unit coupled to the first unit through a coupling section which allows the second unit to be opened and closed relative to the first unit and the second unit has a display screen with a pen input function for detecting the contact of a pen or the close position of a pen. The first unit includes a bottom cover, a circuit substrate arranged above the bottom cover, and an upper cover arranged above the circuit substrate. The circuit substrate has a DC-DC converter that is disposed thereon and provided with one or more coils that generate power for operating the electronic apparatus, and at least one of the coils is disposed on the surface of the circuit substrate facing the bottom cover.

The apparatus is closed when an attachment unit of the second unit is engaged in an engagement unit of the first unit. The attachment unit includes: a fixture member that has a first fixture and a second fixture which are different in direction; and a cover member that has two plates facing each other between which the fixture member is interposed. The cover member stably supports the fixture member both in a first status in which the first fixture is stored between the two plates while the second fixture projects and a second status in which the second fixture is stored between the two plates while the first fixture projects.

摘要： In an information storage apparatus including an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a sequence of operation from when a power failure occurs to when power of the UPS is turned off is automatically accomplished completely without human power to thereby guarantee user data. For this purpose, the apparatus includes a disk array, a host, and a plurality of UPSs to supply power to the disk array and the host. The UPSs monitor a state change of power on a host side by a host ac control line or an SCSI unit to sequentially execute processing in an order of processing of host termination, processing for cache flush of the disk array processing of host UPS termination processing of disk array termination and processing for termination of disk array UPS. Between the UPSs and the Host and between the UPSs and the disk array, there is provided an interlocking control signal to monitor current states thereof so as to control the respective operations. Resultantly the host UPS and the disk array UPS have the same configuration for wider usability.

The LAN connector comprises a flexible portion formed outside a modem-cable-connector occupied space within a housing having a size accommodating the LAN cable connector being inserted thereinto, and a stopper portion formed within the modem-cable-connector occupied space. The stopper portion is displaceable together with the flexible portion. When the modem cable connector is inserted into the housing, the flexible portion is not pushed and bent by the modem cable connector, and the stopper portion stops the modem cable connector. When the LAN cable connector is inserted into the housing, the flexible portion is pushed and bent by the LAN cable connector so as to cause the stopper portion to be withdrawn out of the modem-cable-connector occupied space.
