    摘要: A motorcycle with a low floor is configured such that secondary vibration of an engine can be largely reduced and an increase in engine width can be suppressed. The motorcycle with a low floor includes step floors on which to put a rider's feet on left and right sides of a vehicle body frame. An engine is provided between the step floors. A plurality of exhaust pipes extend respectively from cylinders of the engine, the exhaust pipes being gathered at a gathering portion. The engine is an in-line 3-cylinder engine having cylinder portions inclined forwardly. The exhaust pipes extend downwards from the cylinder portions on the basis of each cylinder. The exhaust pipes are bundled and extend on the right side of the engine, in a position on the lower side of one of the step floors.

    摘要: A stator of a direct current motor includes six magnetic poles. An armature of the direct current motor includes an armature core having eight slots, a plurality of windings wound around the armature core as concentrated windings, and a commutator having twenty-four segments connected to the windings. The plurality of windings are connected to one another to form a single closed loop. The direct current motor further includes an anode power supply brush and a cathode power supply brush that slidably contact the segments. The aspect ratio, which is the ratio of the diameter of the armature core with respect to the length in the axial direction of the armature core is set to a range of 3.2 through 5.6. This increases the constraint torque/mass ratio of the direct current motor.

    摘要: A motor has a field body having a number of field poles and an armature body having a number of coils which is placed outside of the above described field body in the radial direction. A commutator secured to the armature body has a number of segments to which the coils are respectively connected. The motor has a power supplying part for supplying a current to the coils and a brush holder which is secured to the field body. The brush holder contains an anode side brush device which makes contact with and slides against the commutator and the power supplying part and a cathode side brush device which makes contact with and slides against the commutator and the power supplying part. Accordingly, the efficiency of use of the coils can be increased.

    摘要: A commutator connected to armature coils includes circumferentially arranged segments, short-circuit conductors, and a surge absorbing element. The number of the segments is a multiple of the number of the armature coils. The segments include a plurality of pairs of segments. The segments in each pair are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. Each segment in each pair is connected to one of the ends of corresponding one of the armature coils. The number of the short-circuit conductors is the same as the number of the armature coils. Each short-circuit conductor short-circuits segments that are at the same potential to each other. Each short-circuit conductor is connected, either directly or via corresponding one of the segments, to the surge absorbing element, so that the surge absorbing element is electrically interposed between the ends of each armature coil.

    摘要: A metal oxide which has a large pore volume, and is very useful as a catalyst support. An alkaline material is added to an aqueous solution in which a compound of a metal element for composing an oxide is dissolved, a resultant mixture is co-precipitated, an obtained precipitate is washed, a washed precipitate is stirred in water along with a surfactant, and is calcined. By adding the surfactant after washing, the pH is not changed so that the adding effect of the surfactant is achieved to its upper most limit, thereby obtaining a metal oxide which has a large pore volume and a large mean diameter of secondary particles, and exhibits excellent gas diffusion properties.

    摘要: The armature of a motor comprises a core constituted by assembling a plurality of split core members. Each split core member has at least two teeth. The method for manufacturing the armature comprises the steps of: winding a conductive wire on each tooth of each split core member to form a first coil on the teeth; spanning the conductive wire extending from a winding finishing end of the first coil from each tooth to the other tooth; winding the conductive wire on the tooth to which the conductive wire is spanned to form a second coil on the first coil; joining a winding starting end of the first coil and a winding finishing end of the second coil in each tooth to form a single coil; and mutually assembling the plurality of split core members each comprising the coils. As a result, productivity is improved, while reducing size.
