A method for attaching drill stops to a drill bit includes providing a holder and a platform movable relative to each other, the holder having a plurality of drill stops removably coupled thereto, inserting a plurality of drill bits through respective drill stops, moving the holder and platform relative to each other to select a desired height of the drill stops on the bits, and engaging the drill stops to the drill bits at the selected height.

    摘要: The invention relates to an intraoral device for automated preparation of the teeth with a view to performing partial or peripheral dental restoration, which includes: a splint (1) suitable for being positioned in the mouth of a patient, said splint including a means (13) for maintaining the position thereof inside said mouth; at least one mobile cutting tool (2) combined with said splint; and an electronic management unit which makes it possible to control said cutting tool, characterized in that: said cutting tool (2) is configured so as to cut at least the labial surface of the tooth (D1) to be prepared, said tool being mounted on a mobile carriage (23) moving along a rail (24) attached to the splint (1), opposite the labial surface of the tooth (D1) to be prepared, said rail having a curvature that matches the dentition (D) of the patient; said splint (1) includes at least one 3D digitization tool (4) arranged such as to digitize at least the labial surface of said tooth to be prepared, said digitization tool being connected to the management unit (6) so that the digitized data can be transferred to said management unit; and said management unit is configured so as to control the movement of said cutting tool (2) in accordance with the digitized data.

    摘要: A gingival graft stabilizer has an elongate member and slanted arms extending from opposing ends of the elongate member. An anterior guide extends from one of the arms and a posterior guide extends from the other arm. The anterior guide includes spaced protrusions extending from an upper end of the anterior guide. The posterior guide includes spaced protrusions extending from opposing sides of the posterior guide. During suturing of a gingival graft, a dental surgeon holding the elongate member can stabilize and position a gingival graft on anterior gingiva using the anterior guide or on posterior gingiva using the posterior guide. Sutures can be made in the spaces between and around the protrusions of the anterior guide or the posterior guide.

    摘要: A method of making a machinable puck of a hard, solvent free, substantially non-hydrophilic polyurethane elastomer for use in fabricating dental appliances. The elastomer has a hardness of not less than about Shore D65. A first polyester or polyether polyol with a functionality greater than two and a molecular weight greater than one hundred is reacted with an isocyanate prepolymer prepared from one or more branched polyester or polyether polyols with a functionality greater than two; and then blending prepolymer and first polyester or polyether polyol with nanoparticles and colorants as needed. In one embodiment, the polypropylene glycol triether and the isocyanate prepolymer comprises dicyclohexylmethane 4,4′-diisocyanate. The machined, elastomer appliance is able to be heated in hot water to make it flexible and formable for individual, customed-fitting for the patient.
