Abstract:
A method of soldering a metal tubular element having an arcuate portion and an end portion to a metal female element receiving the end portion and defining a distal annular solder space. The elements are mechanically secured together and immersed in a solder bath with the solder space opening downwardly and with the arcuate portion of the tubular element lowermost. The elements may be preheated for improved solder coating thereof in the bath. The solder coated elements are withdrawn from the bath and immediately inverted to allow the melted solder thereon to run toward the end portion and into the solder space to prevent formation of icicles on the arcuate portion and provide an improved soldered connection to the female element.
Abstract:
The method for brazing aluminum radiators with brazing alloys comprises the steps of suspending said radiators and continuously displacing them through successive portions of a single lengthwise elongated furnace cavity with rear and front surfaces of said radiators directed at right angles with respect to successive streams of hot gas blown into each of said successive portions of said furnace at different temperatures and in adjacent relationship therebetween. This disclosure relates to a novel method for brazing radiator cores all the parts thereof being made of aluminum or alluminum alloys and a part at least thereof being plated with a brazing alloy.

A METHOD OF BRAZING STRUCTURAL PARTS WHICH INCLUDES THE STEPS OF PRE-HEATING THE PARTS TO A TEMPERATURE BELOW THE MELTING POINT OF THE BRAZING ALLOY AND THEREAFTER SUPPLYING HEATING AT A TEMPERATURE IN EXCESS OF THE MELTING POINT OF THE BRAZING ALLOY TO ACCOMPLISH UNISON OF THE PARTS.
Abstract:
After immersing an extruded flat tubed strip, in an immersion tank containing a slurry of a brazing material having brazing metallic powder and brazing flux powder mixed in alcohol that has binder dissolved therein, the extruded flat tubed strip is pulled up virtually vertically. Furthermore, the slurry coated on the extruded flat tubed strip pulled up from the immersion tank is dried and bonded/baked on the extruded flat tubed strip through the drying means.
