Abstract:
A conveyor chain has a succession of longitudinally succeeding links, a respective entrainment lug projecting transversely outward from each link and formed with a latch seat. and a plurality of identical entrainment elements. The entrainment elements each have a transversely outwardly projecting entrainment arm, a transversely inwardly open socket adapted to fit complementarily over a respective one of the lugs, a formation in the socket engageable in the seat of the respective one lug, and a longitudinally extending brace bearing transversely inward on at least one of the lugs adjacent the respective one lug.
Abstract:
A method and machine for transferring packets, whereby, as a continuous line of packets is fed in a first direction, the first packet in the line is transferred in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, while the line and the first packet continue travelling in the first direction; the first packet is subsequently conveyed in the second direction along an output path.
Abstract:
A device for aligning parcel goods, in particular bottle crates, boxes, trays or the like during conveyance, and having a conveyor device with a roller conveyor belt having two-part freely rotatable rollers, whereby the conveyance takes place in a plane of conveyance and the alignment takes place in an alignment area situated at least partially in the plane of transport, with a plurality of manipulation units that can be operated in a controlled manner and are situated above and/or below the roller chains in the alignment area. The manipulation units are able to alter the speed and/or the direction of rotation of the rollers for rotation of a parcel about an axis perpendicular to the plane of transport, with at least one preferably optical recognition device which detects the aligned position of the parcel and a control device which controls the process of alignment of the parcel.
Abstract:
A beverage bottling plant for filling bottles with a liquid beverage material having a packing machine and a rotation machine for rotating packed boxes. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
Abstract:
A conveyor system, and method of controlling the conveyor system, includes providing a conveying surface, at least one motor propelling the conveying surface and a plurality of lower-level controllers. At least one of the lower-level controllers adapted to control the at least one motor. An upper-level controller is provided in communication with the plurality of lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to send communications to the lower-level controllers for controlling the at least one motor. A communications bus is provided that carries the communications between the upper-level controller and the lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to automatically assign each lower-level controller a unique communications address. The unique communications address enables the upper-level controller to send messages over the communications bus to individual ones of the lower-level controllers.
Abstract:
A method and device for transferring packets, whereby two parallel, superimposed rows of packets are fed in a horizontal direction to a first transfer station, and the lead packets in the two rows are then conveyed in a vertical direction from the first transfer station to a second transfer station, where the lead packets are parted in the vertical direction; at this point, the parted lead packets are transferred in the horizontal direction to a heat-shrink unit having two parallel, superimposed, substantially horizontal channels, each of which is engaged by a respective row of packets.
Abstract:
A gripper device for displacing at least one single unit of consumer packages, such as egg containers, which units function as package for individual products and are provided with a cover and a bottom portion, comprising gripper members, for instance gripper blades, movable in a rotating and translating manner with the aid of control members accommodated in a housing, wherein the gripper members engage such units on two opposite longitudinal sides thereof, in order for said units, after being closed to be picked up, transferred and subsequently placed in outer packages in a controlled manner, and to be picked up from the outer package in the same manner, clamping members, for instance at least one single horizontal pressing plate, for keeping the cover closed during pickup, transfer and discharge of the said closed units, and n holder members, with n≧1, which members are placed between the at least (n+1) units in order to keep these units in their relative positions during pickup, transfer and placement, in cooperation with the gripper members and the clamping members, wherein the holder members consist of intermediate plates which, during transfer, are suspended virtually vertically through slots in a bottom plate of the housing and are clamped between the units, wherein the intermediate plates are each pressed in substantially vertical direction by means of a spring member, wherein, in particular, in a suspended main portion and near the suspended end, the intermediate plates will, with at least one single bend, merge into an engaging edge, with an angle between 0° and 40° between main portion and engaging edge, wherein the engaging edge, upon engaging, ends at the height of the bottom portion of such a unit.
Abstract:
An novel apparatus and technique may be used to induct articles onto a conveyor comprising at least one conveyor belt that moves articles along a first path that extends in a first direction. The apparatus may be used to move an article along a second path that extends in a second direction, which is transverse to the first direction, to a first position above but not in contact with the at least one conveyor belt. After the article has been moved to the first position above but not in contact with the at least one conveyor belt, the apparatus may be used to move the article onto the at least one conveyor belt.
Abstract:
The present invention aims at preventing sanitary tissue paper from being torn when it is removed. The purpose is accomplished by sanitary tissue paper of single-ply or double-plies, characterized in that said paper has a lateral tensile strength on a dry condition of 32 N/m or more, a longitudinal tensile strength on a wet direction of 32 N/m or more, and a longitudinal tensile strength on a dry condition which is 2.5 to 3.5 times higher than the lateral tensile strength on a dry condition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a parcel sortation system and is specifically disclosed in connection with a customizable scalable sorting system and method for sorting parcels. The sortation system and method for sorting parcels are include an induction station wherein data particular to the parcel regarding its desired parcel destination is received by a controller and communicated by the controller to the sortation system, as the parcel continues to a sorting station, where the parcel is sorted as instructed by the controller, and if not sorted then is collected at the end station, terminating the sorting of the parcel.
