摘要: When a PC connected to a mixer engine functions as an editing device to edit a configuration of signal processing in the mixer engine, components and wires included in the edited configuration of signal processing are displayed within a CAD screen on a display of the PC, and a delay amount occurring in processing corresponding to each of the components and wires when the mixer engine executes the signal processing is displayed in correspondence with each of the components and wires on the CAD screen. In this case, the delay amount corresponding to each wire is a value determined according to a result of assignment in which signal processing corresponding to each component is assigned to a plurality of signal processors in the mixer engine.

摘要: A musical sonification system and method sonifies data, such as real-time financial market data, to produce an audio signal output including a musical rendering of the data. A sonification engine converts the data into sound parameters based on configuration data and a sonification and mapping scheme. A sound generator generates the audio output signal from the sound parameters.

摘要: The present disclosure describes a process for clients in the music recording industry seeking to have audio recordings mixed to their specifications. This process involves enabling the client to designate which effects to include in their final audio mix in order to receive a finished audio track that sounds closer to the client's expectations. The client is empowered to specify exactly where audio effects should take place on a track-by-track basis. This process significantly improves the client's chances of receiving an audio mix from an engineer that meets the client's specifications, and helps the engineer create the audio mix right the first time.

摘要: Audio mix information is received from a plurality of users. Mix rules are determined from the audio mix information from the plurality of users, wherein the mix rules include a first mix rule associated with a first audio item. The first mix rule relates to an overlap of the first audio item with another audio item. The first mix rule is made available to one or more clients. After making the first mix rule available, an indication, from a respective client device, that the first audio item is to be mixed with a second audio item at the respective client device in accordance with the first mix rule is received. In response to the indication, a specification of the first mix rule is transmitted to the respective client device to be applied by the respective client device to generate a transition between the first audio item and the second item.

摘要: In some implementations, a computing device can be configured to present a graphical user interface that enables the dynamic authoring of music by a user of the computing device. The computing device can present a grid of cells, where each cell represents a music segment. The cells can be configured to playback the music segment once or playback the music segment in a repeating loop. The user can select (e.g., touch) one or more cells in the grid to cause the corresponding music segment to play. While playing selected cells, the user can provide input selecting various musical effects to apply to the playing music. The user can record a dynamically selected sequence of cells and musical effects to create an original musical product.

摘要: Methods and systems for assembling customizable solderless cables for direct current (DC) transmission of electricity to an electronic device. The systems and methods utilize shielded co-axial cable defining first and second opposed ends which may be cut to a desired length as selected by the user. Connectors, which may have a conventional 2.1 mm×5.5 mm DC plug design, include a barrel portion defining a threaded axial passageway. In use, the threaded passageway of the plug is twisted upon a respective end of the cable such that the end of the cable becomes threadedly seated thereinto and in electrical contact with the plug to form two dedicated electrical connections. A respective other plug is mounted on the other respective end of the cable in the same manner to thus define the customizable cable. A single length of cable or a plurality of wire segments and plugs may be sold as a pre-packaged unit for use in making a plurality of customizable DC cables.

摘要: A sound capture device is affixed to an acoustic instrument to capture the natural sound output of the instrument. The captured sound signal is routed to an electronic sound augmentation system that is configured to augment the captured sound with spatial sound effects such as reverb, echo, delay, etc. The processed and augmented sound is then reproduced via a vibrating driver that has been affixed to the body of the acoustic instrument. This creates a situation where the body of the musical instrument, responding to a series of vibrations produced by the vibrating driver, acts as a speaker component, reproducing a rich augmented sound output that comprises the sum of the sound produced by the original sound production capabilities of the acoustical instrument plus the added augmented or enhanced sound effects.
