Abstract:
An image forming device having a direct printing function and a direct printing method thereof are provided. An interface unit is connected to a movable storage medium in which a file is stored, and a user manipulation unit sets print options required to print. A control unit stores the print options set through the user manipulation unit in the movable storage medium in order to print the stored file.
Abstract:
When an acquired image file GF includes image processing control information GI, a CPU executes image quality adjustment of image data GD in an image processing mode GM specified by the image processing control information GI. When the acquired image file GF does not include the image processing control information GI, on the other hand, the CPU retrieves Exif information and in the case of successful retrieval of the Exif information, selects the image processing mode GM based on the Exif information and executes image quality adjustment of the image data GD in the selected image processing mode GM. In the case where a selected shooting mode is described in the Exif information, the selected shooting mode is used for the selection of the image processing mode GM. In the case where no selected shooting mode is described in the Exif information, on the other hand, another shooting condition is used for the selection of the image processing mode GM.
Abstract:
The present invention improves security of image data when communication between an image managing apparatus that stores the image data of a submitted job and an image processing apparatus is not possible. To accomplish this, for executing a specific process according to a submitted job, the image data and log information of the job is transmitted to the image managing apparatus to store them when the image processing apparatus can communicate with the image managing apparatus. After transmission of the image data and the log information, upon receiving a notification indicating the completion of storage from the image managing apparatus, control is made to execute a specific process on the image data.
Abstract:
In order to select and designate the appropriate identification information when the multi image representing picture is recorded as a multi image onto a recording medium, a reproducing circuit 20 reproduces a recorded image at a designated track, its reproduced image is stored as a mini image for the representation of the multi image into a frame memory 24, and the ID signal for each reproduced image is stored in a memory 34. A recording circuit 32 records the multi image representing picture to be stored in the memory 24 as one still picture and records it in the recording medium. A system control circuit 22 reads only an ID signal of a track corresponding to the state of instructing means 36 or switching means 38 among the ID signals stored in the memory 34, and supplies other portions except for the field/frame and the track number to the recording circuit 32.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes an image compressing unit that creates thumbnail data in page units on the basis of image data of a document scanned by a scanner unit, a first control unit that writes the thumbnail data in page units in a page memory, converts the thumbnail data into thumbnail packets in a unit of thumbnail data of plural pages and reads out the thumbnail packets, and stores the thumbnail packets in a data storage medium, and a second control unit that reads out the thumbnail packets stored in the data storage medium and stores the thumbnail packets in the page memory, selects data of an arbitrary thumbnail packet in response to user operation, and displays a thumbnail image in a unit of plural pages on a display unit of a control panel.
Abstract:
A mobile telephone is connected to a camera, and their respective power supplies are turned on. A telephone number of the local station is read out and recorded in a flash ROM as registration number data. Moreover, the registration number data is input with image data. As the registration number data is the telephone number of the local station input from the mobile telephone, the image data may be secured without the complex encryption processing of conventional examples. That is, a sense of security may be obtained because forgetting the specific registration number is unlikely when the telephone number of the local station input from the mobile telephone is used as the specific registration number data. Accordingly, the collation procedure becomes easier when the image data is obtained or an order for photo prints is made, and access to the image data may be easily restricted since the image data can be secured without complex encryption processing.
Abstract:
A push type scanner apparatus according to the present invention can transmit image data read by the push type scanner apparatus through a network to a desired personal computer only by operating the push type scanner apparatus without transmitting any operation command from the personal computer. In the push type scanner apparatus, for transmitting image data, a destination address is specified; a mail to be transmitted to the specified destination address is created; an appended file comprising the image data read by the scanner apparatus and appended to the mail is created; and the created mail and appended file are outputted to the network.
Abstract:
An image-taking apparatus preferable for saving image data in folders as desired by a user for each scene or date of image-taking is disclosed. The image-taking apparatus of the present invention comprises an image processing circuit which creates image data files based on output from an image-pickup device, and a filing system which saves created image data files in a folder created on a recording medium with a different file number assigned to each image data file and performs a numbering process in which it assigns file numbers sequentially from an initial number. The filing system creates a new folder on the recording medium in accordance with operation of an operating member by a user and starts the numbering process on image data files to be saved in the new folder from the initial number.
Abstract:
An information storage medium capable of recording and playing back still picture information is provided with a first information unit having one still picture information, and a first group unit which is composed of a set of first information units, and has a plurality of pieces of still picture information having different contents. Information is recorded in the first group unit.
Abstract:
A digital camera capable of enhancing utilization of an image shot in a text shooting mode is provided. An image processing unit converts an image shot in the text shooting mode to a data format appropriate to a transmission destination (a facsimile machine, a personal computer, etc.) selected by a user.
