摘要: Described is a mixer for a chromatography system. The mixer includes an inlet manifold channel, an outlet manifold channel and a plurality of transfer channels. The inlet manifold channel has an inlet at a proximal end of the inlet manifold channel for receiving an inlet flow. The transfer channels are fluidly connected between the inlet and outlet manifold channels. The respective fluid connections are distributed along each of the inlet and outlet manifolds channels. The transfer channels have different volumes. The mixer may be formed of a plurality of layer and the layers may be diffusion bonded to each other.

摘要: A method of dispensing a graded material includes generating droplets of a first working material, the droplets having a size in the range of 10 nanometers to 10 micrometers, adding the droplets of the first working material into a carrier fluid to create a first emulsion, wherein addition of the droplets of the first working material is controlled to create gradient in the emulsion, mixing the first emulsion to create a homogenous, graded mixture, and dispensing the homogenous, graded mixture onto a surface.

摘要: A process for oxidising a substrate selected from hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), diformylfuran (DFF), hydroxymethylfurancarboxylic acid (HMFCA) and formylfurancarboxylic acid (FFCA). Said process comprises mixing said substrate with catalase, one or more further enzymes and hydrogen peroxide to form a reaction mixture. Said one or more further enzymes have the ability to catalyse oxidation of said substrate. Said hydrogen peroxide is provided at a total molar ratio of at least about 0.1:1 hydrogen peroxide to substrate.

摘要: A system includes a recirculation line, a mainline flow meter operable to measure a flowrate of fluid flowing through the recirculation line, a mixing chamber, an inlet line coupled between the recirculation line and the mixing chamber, at least one chemical injection port coupled to the inlet line, a dedicated feed pump operably associated with each chemical injection port, and an outlet line coupled between the mixing chamber and the recirculation line. The mixing chamber includes a plurality of mixing zones, a mixing blade assembly that includes at least one blade within each mixing zone, and a motor coupled to the mixing blade assembly and operable to rotate the mixing blade assembly. Each of the dedicated feed pumps is coupled to a separate chemical supply and is operable to pump a chemical to the corresponding chemical injection port for injection into the inlet line.

摘要: A feed mixer vehicle having a hopper with a base is carried on a chassis. A vertically extending auger assembly is rotatably mounted in the hopper adjacent the base, extending from the hopper base. 摘要: A microfluidic device for evaluation of an organic/inorganic scale inhibitor is provided. The device comprises a substrate mountable to a disc for rotation about an axis. The device further comprises a proximal end and a distal end. The substrate defines a sample reservoir, a solvent reservoir, an inhibitor reservoir, and a precipitant reservoir at the proximal end and an analysis chamber at the distal end in fluid communication with the sample, solvent, inhibitor, and precipitant reservoirs. The substrate is constructed to direct one or more of fluids in the sample reservoir, solvent reservoir, inhibitor reservoir, and precipitant reservoir radially outwardly towards the analysis chamber under the influence of centrifugal force when the microfluidic device rotates.
