摘要: The invention relates to a method for bonding grinding material, in particular, endless grinding belts or grinding belt segments onto a grinding element, preferably a grinding disk, or the like. Used endless grinding belts can be removed from the grinding elements only under great difficulties. However, such operations must be performed at regular intervals, as soon as the service life of the endless grinding belt has been exceeded. In particular, the removal of adhesive residues from the grinding element is a tedious task and the use of aggressive solvents is disadvantageous for the adhesive. In order to eliminate these disadvantages, the invention provides that a separating layer which is made of an unstable material with respect to solvents, is applied on at least one of the two engaging faces of an endless grinding belt and the grinding element before applying the adhesive layer. Preferably, the separating layer is mounted on the engagement face of the grinding element. As a material for the separating layer, an adhering agent, for example, a plastic resin is particularly suitable. The endless grinding belt can be bonded onto this adhering agent. Since the material used for the separating layer is easily dissolvable with a mild solvent, a used endless grinding belt can be easily removed from the grinding element, without any remaining adhesive residues.

摘要: The invention deals with a method of bonding a poly(vinylidene fluoride) solid to a variety of solid substrates, in an application typically using the piezoelectric properties of the material. The bonding method entails surface preparation of the poly(vinylidene fluoride) by a variety of steps including activation of the surface by plasma etching to cause the surface to wet the adhesive used in the bonding process. The bonding method produces bonds of increased strength and having good electrical properties.

摘要: A method for forming a micropattern, comprises the steps of forming an organic polymeric material layer on a substrate, forming a silicone layer on the organic polymeric material layer, selectively irradiating a surface of the silicone layer with a high-energy beam, exposing the surface of the silicone layer to a radical addition polymerizable monomer gas so as to form a graft polymer film on an irradiated portion of the surface of the silicone layer, performing reactive ion etching using the graft polymer film as a mask so as to form a silicone pattern, and performing reactive ion etching using the silicone pattern as a mask so as to form an organic polymeric material pattern. The method allows formation of a resist pattern with a high precision and a high aspect ratio.

摘要: The present invention contemplates a method to reduce the liquid solvent contact time required to develop a latent polymeric relief image in a layer of polymeric material that is selectively exposed to radiation so that there is formed a layer having exposed and unexposed areas. In the method of the present invention, the layer is exposed to the gaseous vapors of at least one solvent for the more soluble area, after which it is contacted with a liquid solvent which preferentially dissolves the material from the more soluble area and which does not affect the polymerized material which forms the relief image.

摘要: A first pipe is connected to the wall of a container such as a larger pipe, tank or other vessel, wherein the transverse surface of one end of the first pipe is substantially flush with the inside surface of the portion of the wall of the container to which the first pipe is connected. The method for forming the pipe connection relies upon the plastic memory of the synthetic thermoplastic polymeric material from which the end portion of the first pipe and the portion of the wall of the container, to which the first pipe is to be connected, are formed. The diameter of a hole in the wall of the container is expanded in a cold condition in such a manner that the edges of the hole expand outwardly from the wall of the container while the diameter of the end portion of the first pipe is reduced in a cold condition such that the reduced diameter portion of the first pipe can be inserted into the expanded hole. The plastic memory of the synthetic thermoplastic polymeric material from which the end portion of the first pipe and the wall of the container, to which the first pipe is to be connected, are formed causes a tight connection to be formed.

摘要: Tubular products are provided by applying a first, inner plastic layer onto a core wire and by applying a wire sheathing onto the first plastic layer as a continuous structure thereon. The wire sheathing is then locally removed to provide defined, spaced areas without wire sheathing and intermediate areas including the wire sheathing, and the structure thus provided is covered by applying a second, outer plastic layer thereon, thereby providing a strand structure. As a next step, this strand structure is cut at one limitation of each area without wire sheathing, whereby strand pieces are provided having one end portion which has no wire sheathing therein. The core wire piece left in each strand piece is then removed, thereby providing a tubular product having a body portion including wire sheathing and being completely integral with an end or tip portion without wire sheathing. Due to the complete lack of discontinuity between body portion and tip portion, the tubular products are very suited for use as reliable catheters, and to that end the tip portion can be appropriately formed as needed.
