摘要： A coupon manufacturing machine assembly (10) for producing a two-sided coupon card (78). The coupon card (78) is fabricated from a continuous sheet of stock (26) wherein the sheet of stock (26) has an adhesive layer (30) and a release film (32) applied to a bottom surface (34). A printing station (12) prints indicia on a top surface (36) of the continuous sheet of stock (26) in two parallel rows. The two parallel rows define a first strip (38) and a second strip (40) of the stock (26). A laminating device (14) applies a clear laminate (46) to the top surface (36) of the stock (26) for viewing the indicia. A cutting device (16) separates the continuous sheet of stock (26) into the first strip (38) and the second strip (40) and an inverting device (18) rotates the second strip (40) 180.degree. relative to the first strip (38). More specifically, the second strip (40) passes through a first turn bar (52), a spacing roller (58), and then through a second turn bar (54) to effectuate the 180.degree. rotation. A stripping device (20) removes the release film (32) from the first strip (38) to expose the adhesive layer (30). The adhesive layer (30) of the first strip (38) is moved into a bonded relationship with the release film (32) of the second strip (40). Specifically, a coupling device (22) mates and adheres the adhesive layer (30) of the first strip (38) with the release film (32) of the second strip (40) to form a series of two-sided coupon cards (78) with the indicia printed on both sides thereof.

In the second mixer, foam is added and the formed slurry is laid on the unformed slurry on the first fixing sheet. The unformed slurry in the second fixing sheen is brought to the formed slurry to join the product.

摘要： A machine for applying elastic to material is provided that includes a conveyor for carrying material. The conveyor moves the material in one direction along a flow path. An elastic band storage with a plurality of elongate elastic bands is provided for application to the material. An elastic feeder has a feeder head that feeds the plurality of elastic bands directly onto the material while the feeder head moves laterally across the flow path. The lateral movement of the feeder head across the moving conveyor applies the elastic bands to the material in a curved contour. The feeder head is operable to feed the elastic bands onto the material while maintaining a selected spacing between individual elastic bands throughout the curved contour.

摘要： A method of producing a printed article includes the following steps: providing a first web of polyethylene upon which a pattern has been printed; providing a second web of plastics material from which the article is to be formed, one of the first or second webs having a heat seal lacquer applied thereto; passing the first and second webs through a pair of heated rollers to cause the heat seal lacquer to become tacky; directing the first and second webs in adjacent overlying relation to a vacuum forming machine including a mold and applying heat and vacuum in the vacuum forming machine to cause the first and second webs to conform to the shape of the mold to produce the printed article, wherein the application of heat in the vacuum forming machine activates the heat seal lacquer to adhere the first and second webs together.

摘要： Described herein is a multiple layer absorbent core having a front ear section, a crotch section and a back ear section, wherein the machine direction length of the crotch section equals the combined machine direction length of the front ear section and the back ear section, the angle and radii forming the transition from the crotch width to the ear width being equal, the core being suitable for use in an absorbent article, and a method for manufacturing such multiple layer absorbent core. The method comprises providing a single web of absorbent core material from a roll, in which the web having parallel straight longitudinal side edges; continuously transporting the web of absorbent core material in the machine direction; continuously cutting the web of absorbent core material longitudinally into web sections having at least one full-pattern strip having a repeating hourglass-shape and first and second side trim pieces each of the side trim pieces having a straight edge defined by one of the parallel straight longitudinal side edges of the web and an opposite non-linear longitudinal edge having a pattern corresponding to one of the longitudinal edges of the full-pattern strip; continuously orienting the side trim pieces relative to the full-pattern strip such that the ear sections and said crotch section of the side trim pieces are superimposed in registration with said full-pattern strip to form a continuous multiple layer composite strip; and successively cutting the composite strip in the transverse direction at predetermined intervals to form discrete multiple layer absorbent cores.

摘要： This invention provides an exceptionally expandable sheet elastic complex which consists of an elastic body sheet and a sheet backing material which is mounted on either one or both sides of it, these two members being bonded together along multiple, oblong, mutually parallel bonding sections, and in which multiple, mutually parallel channels are formed between the two members because the width of the sheet backing material between mutually adjacent bonding sections is greater than that of the elastic body sheet. The sheet backing material does not accept more than the minimum constraint of the elastic body sheet, and its waveform surface has excellent properties as a material for use in sanitary products. The invention also provides a process for manufacturing this sheet elastic complex.
