Abstract: A single-sided storage locker system deployed at any site within a facility, and providing guest visitors with access control enabled by scanning multi-level machine-readable codes using mobile scanning computing systems, such as web-enabled smartphones with digital cameras and mobile application support. The storage locker system supports automated modes of discovering and finding where a guest's rented locker is located within the facility and its sites at any moment in time, simply by using the guest' smart phone to scan a device-level code, a site-level code, a facility-level code or a discovery-level code, posted anywhere within the facility or any site, without need for using a physical locker lookup kiosk or other conventional systems and methods.

Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to reserving seats in an autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle includes a plurality of seats that can be occupied by passengers when riding in the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle is configured to assign a particular seat from the plurality of seats in the autonomous vehicle to a passenger based on information pertaining to the passenger and information pertaining to a ride-sharing trip. The autonomous vehicle is to transport at least the passenger and a differing passenger during at least a portion of the ride-sharing trip. Moreover, the passenger and the differing passenger independently request rides in the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle is further configured to output, to the passenger, an indication of the particular seat assigned to the passenger.

Abstract: A controller includes an extraction unit, an arrival time calculation unit, a departure time calculation unit, a stop location calculation unit and a transmission unit. The extraction unit extracts stop-scheduled vehicles, which are scheduled to stop in a stopping area. The arrival time calculation unit calculates arrival times when the stop-scheduled vehicles will arrive at the stopping area based at least on user-side information of users who use the stop-scheduled vehicles, or on position information of the stop-scheduled vehicles. The departure time calculation unit calculates a scheduled departure order indicating an order in which the stop-scheduled vehicles will depart the stopping area. The stop location calculation unit calculates stop locations of the stop-scheduled vehicles based on the scheduled departure order. The transmission unit transmits information indicating the stop locations to the stop-scheduled vehicles.

Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to venue seat assignment based upon hearing profiles. According to one aspect of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a device can include a processor and a memory. The device can receive a request to upload a hearing profile, and can upload the hearing profile to a seat assignment system. The device can receive, from the seat assignment system, a customized seating chart based, at least in part, upon the hearing profile. The customized seating chart can include a visual representation of at least a portion of seating in a venue. The device can select, from the customized seating chart, a seat from the portion of the seating in the venue. This selection can be made automatically or based upon user input.

Abstract: A computer system can implement a network transaction service by monitoring location data from a computing device of a user to confirm that the user is located at a merchant location, receiving transaction data from a point-of-sale terminal of the merchant location, and confirming that the user has left the merchant location based on the location data. The computer system may then automatically execute a transfer operation to fund the transaction using a shared funding account of the network transaction service such that no direct payment interaction is made between the user and the merchant.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide check-in services to mobile devices using a check-in enabled network. When the mobile computer device attempts to access the check-in enabled network, a connection is established between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network. Check-in information is passed between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network to check in a user of the mobile computer device to an entity providing the check-in enabled network. The method may also include determining whether any additional actions are available to provide to the mobile device via the check-in enabled network, when an additional action is available, presenting the additional action to the user via the mobile device, and receiving input from the mobile device to take the additional action. Many additional actions may be available and are disclosed herein. The user's personal information may be protected while providing financial transactions with the system.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for displaying widgets. In some aspects, criteria for ranking widgets may be dynamically evaluated based on conditions associated with each widget. In some aspects, the conditions may consider a time or location of an event a social network user is scheduled to attend, and a relation to that time and location to a current time and/or current user location. Evaluation of the conditions may contribute to the determination of weights for each of the respective widgets, with the ranking based on the weights. Widgets with the highest rank may be invoked, and selectively displayed on an electronic display. Multiple possible parameter values for the displayed widgets may also be dynamically ranked and selected values applied when invoking the widget.
