    摘要: A clutch housing assembly for use in vehicle drivelines includes at least one strengthening member at an open end of the housing. The strengthening member preferably is formed by cutting away portions of the housing near the open end and then deforming the remaining portions. The deformed portions preferably are folded over and against a surface of the housing near the open end. The strengthening members provide additional strength to the housing at the open end to resist deformations that may otherwise occur because of forces incident on the assembly during operation of the vehicle driveline.

    摘要: A transmission includes a clutch basket and a driving disc each having teeth and tooth spaces which correspond to one another. A plug-in intermeshing connection between the driving disc and the clutch basket is provided such that there is no torsional backlash and such that no rattling noises are produced. To this end, at least one of the teeth of the driving disc and/or at least one of the teeth of the clutch basked has a slot. The tooth thickness of at least one of the teeth of the driving disc is greater than at least one of the tooth space widths of the clutch basket. In order to avoid rattling noises, it is also suggested that at least one pair formed of a tooth and a corresponding opposite tooth space may be configured such that the tooth is displaced with respect to the corresponding tooth space.

    摘要: Disclosed is an improved friction type of power transmission mechanism for driving a reel support in a VTR wherein the power is transmitted from the motor to the reel support via the follower pulley, which is sandwiched and clamped between a base disk and an annular plate. The follower pulley has a first friction ring sandwiched between the base disk and the lower flange surface of the follower pulley and a second friction ring sandwiched between the annular plate and the upper flange surface of the follower pulley. With this arrangement an increased torque can be produced without causing excessive abrasion. The diameter of the circular opening of one of the first and second friction rings is equal to or larger than the outer diameter of the other friction ring. This has the effect of saving the material of friction ring.

    摘要: A clutch drum is formed from a single piece of material. The clutch drum includes an inner surface having a plurality of spline portions interspersed with inner wall spaces. Each spline portion includes at least one slot to form at least one snap ring groove within the clutch drum. The outer surface of the clutch drum is smooth and continuous and adapted to receive a brake band. The clutch drum does not include any perforations or breaks through the single piece of material forming the cylindrical portion of the clutch drum.
