    摘要: A horizontal-flow electrostatic filter for gas passing from a boiler to a chimney and having separate flow chambers lying horizontally side-by-side has inlet and outlet ducting arranged such that flue gases are divided to flow in opposite directions through the respective chambers, both directions of flow being at right angles to the direction of the shortest distance between the boiler house and the chimney. The flue gas output of the boiler is divided equally between the chambers. The size and hence capacity of the filter may be greater, in this disposition, for a given said distance than if a prior art parallel co-current flow arrangement (shown in FIG. 1 of the drawings) were used. Capacity for a given available floor space is further assisted by providing a plurality of arrays of collection and discharge electrodes separately electrically supplied and controlled.

    摘要: A regenerative heat exchanger for gaseous media which are in a heat exchange with one another includes stationary or rotating storage masses and at least one cleaning device for the storage masses, wherein the cleaning device can be pivoted in relation to the annular cross section of the storage masses from the inside toward the outside or vice versa. The regenerative heat exchanger can be used for the preheating of air as well as for the preheating of gas. The free end of a swivel arm of the cleaning device constructed as a blow tube has a bent portion which extends parallel to the plane of the storage masses and the bent portion is provided with at least two blow nozzles.

    摘要: A plant for the reduction of nitrogen oxide in furnace waste gases includes a furnace, a reactor serving for selective catalytic reduction, and a regenerative heat exchanger to be used for air preheaters as well as for gas preheaters for the treatment of pollutant-containing waste gases which are in a heat exchange with another medium. The regenerative heat exchanger has stationary or revolving storage masses which are composed at least partially of catalytic material. A reduction agent is supplied to the regenerative heat exchanger. The reactor is arranged concentrically above the regenerative heat exchanger. Preferably, the reactor is placed directly onto the housing of the heat exchanger.

    摘要: The overall effective volume of a horizontal gas flow electrostatic precipitator is divided into at least four electrostatic field units arranged in stages, there being at least upper and lower vertically aligned stages, the precipitator having a dust exit bunker which receives dust collected in each of the upper and lower stages. Below the collector electrodes of the upper stage are collection pockets which communicate with the dust exit bunker through downwardly extending dust passages located in the lower stage. These passages are internal passages within hollow collector electrodes of the lower stage. The electrostatic field units are, independently of one another, each connected to a respective separate controllable power supply means so that it is possible to generate, in each respective stage, a separate controllable high voltage. The power supply means in each stage are regulated so as to provide the required electrical characteristics, it being particularly preferred that the power supply means in each stage be self-regulating so as to automatically adjust the voltage in that stage to the desired value. Each stage is also provided with a separate rapper mechanism. Gas flow is preferably in opposite horizontal directions in vertically adjacent stages.
