    摘要: An MFP (Multifunction Peripheral) is a file name producing apparatus that produces a file name of an image. The MFP selects a candidate character string, which is a file name candidate and in which a head character is a space, from the character strings extracted from the image. The MFP deletes the space that is the head character of the candidate character string, or changes all the characters constituting the candidate character string to other characters. The MFP produces the character string, which is corrected by the deletion or the change, as the file name of the image. Therefore, the proper file name can be produced.

The external server returns redirect information including the integrated screen's network address to the browsing portion in response to a transmission request.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus monitors sleep-cancelling events, and when a sleep-cancelling event occurs, stores an identifier and a sleep-cancellation time of the event. If a start time of a sleep mode is reached when (i) the apparatus is in a standby mode and (ii) one or more sleep-cancelling events specifying sleep-cancellation times later than the start time have been stored, the apparatus calculates power consumption required to maintain the standby mode for a period from the start time to the earliest sleep-cancellation time, as a power-saving amount savable during the period. Also, a recovery power amount required for recovery from the sleep mode to the standby mode is calculated on the assumption that the sleep mode is started at the start time and is cancelled at the earliest sleep-cancellation time. Switching to the sleep mode is performed only when the power-saving amount is greater than the recovery power amount.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a longitudinally conveying motor, a main-body-side control board, and a sensor. In the longitudinally conveying motor, an encoder generates an encoder signal having a frequency corresponding to the number of rotations of the longitudinally conveying motor, and a sensor signal superimposing unit receives an input of a logical state of the sensor. The sensor signal superimposing unit superimposes the logical state of the sensor on the encoder signal by modulating a duty ratio of the encoder signal based on the logical state of the sensor, and outputs a post-superimposition encoder signal. In the main-body-side control board, a sensor signal separating unit obtains the logical state of the sensor by demodulating the input encoder signal.
