    摘要: An electronic device may include a housing, and a finger sensor carried by the housing to sense a user's finger placement at different rotational angles. The electronic device may also include an orientation sensor carried by the housing to sense an orientation thereof, and a processor coupled to the finger sensor and the orientation sensor. The processor may acquire finger-matching biometric data of the user's finger at an unknown rotational angle relative to a known rotational angle of finger-enrollment data, generate an estimated rotational angle of the acquired finger-matching biometric data and based upon a sensed orientation of the housing, and attempt an authentication of the user based upon the estimated acquired rotational angle.

    摘要: A haptic actuator may include a housing having a top and a bottom, and first and second coils carried by the top and bottom, respectively, of the housing. The haptic actuator may also include a field member carried by the housing. The field member may include a permanent magnet between the first and second coils, first and second ends, and a first mass between the first end and the permanent magnet, and a second mass between the second end and the permanent magnet. A first shaft may slidably couple the first mass to the housing, and a second shaft may slidably couple the second mass to the housing. The haptic actuator may also include a first set of biasing members between the first end of the field member and the housing and a second set of biasing members between the second end of the field member and the housing.

    摘要: A strain wave gearing speed changing apparatus has a coaxial pair of circular splines including a first with tooth number TA and a second with TD. A coaxial pair of flex splines includes a first with tooth number TB and a second with TC. First flex spline meshes first circular spline and second flex spline meshes second circular spline at two, preferably more, meshing engagements. A wave generator is connected to one of the input and output shafts. Two flex splines are fixed together to operate flexingly on the wave generator with equal spline tooth engagement pitch circle circumference lengths. One circular spline is fixed to the apparatus frame and the other is connected to the other of the input and output shafts not connected to the wave generator. The four splines satisfy TA=TK+Ti, TB=TK, TC=TK−Tj and TD=TK+Ti−Tj.

    摘要: An electronic device may include a touch display that includes at least one display layer, and at least one transparent conductive layer thereon defining touch sensing pixels. The electronic device may also include a finger biometric sensor carried by the touch display and that may include an interconnect layer that includes transparent conductive traces, and a finger biometric sensing layer adjacent the interconnect layer and that includes an array of transparent conductive finger biometric sensing pixels capacitively coupled to the at least one transparent conductive layer of the touch display. The finger biometric sensor may also include a transparent dielectric layer between the interconnect layer and the finger biometric sensing layer, and transparent conductive vias extending through the transparent dielectric layer and coupling the array of transparent conductive finger biometric sensing pixels to respective ones of the transparent conductive traces.

The electronic device may also include an array of biometric finger sensing pixel electrodes and an array shielding electrode outside the array of biometric finger sensing pixels.
