摘要： The present invention relates to a method and device for playing a game in which values of a game piece are gradually revealed. In one embodiment, a housing receives a game piece. The housing includes an opaque portion covering markings on the game piece. The opaque portion is movable for gradually revealing at least one marking on the game piece. The opaque portion can include a pair of movable doors. The doors are moved laterally toward one another to reveal markings on outer columns of the game piece. The doors are moved vertically for revealing markings on an inner column of the game piece.

摘要： The production of a purified extracellular bacterial signal called autoinducer-2 is regulated by changes in environmental conditions associated with a shift from a free-living existence to a colonizing or pathogenic existence in a host organism. Autoinducer-2 stimulates LuxQ luminescence genes, and is believed also to stimulate a variety of pathogenesis related genes in the bacterial species that produce it. A new class of bacterial genes is involved in the biosynthesis of autoinducer-2.

These derivatives are characterized by formulas I-V, where A and R may be an anthryl- and/or an adamantyl- and/or a steroid moiety. Methods for the preparation of the above compounds are disclosed.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and apparatus for making atomic clocks or atomic magnetometers as self-modulated laser systems based on the physics of push-pull optical pumping. An atomic vapor cell is required to be in the laser cavity. With proper conditions, spontaneous push-pull optical pumping can occur inside the laser cavity. This causes the laser beam to be modulated at hyperfine-resonance frequency. With a fast photodetector, the modulated laser signal can be converted into the electrical signal, which serves as the atomic clock ticking signal or magnetometer signal. The self-modulated laser system does not use any local oscillator and the microwave circuit to lock the oscillator frequency to the hyperfine-resonance frequency, and therefore can consume less power and become more compact than conventional systems. This invention will benefit applications of time measurements and magnetic-field measurements.

摘要： A method is disclosed which produces acrylic acid in a high yield as maintaining the conditions for purifying acrylic acid in constant ranges and preventing the acrylic acid from polymerization. By using single a single reactor, propylene concentration adjusting in the range of 7–15 vol. % and water concentration adjusting in the range of 0–10 vol. % are introduced thereinto thereby obtaining an acrylic acid-containing gas. Then the gas is introduced to an acrylic acid absorption column to adjust water concentration in the range of 1–45 wt. %, thereby preventing from polymerization.
