摘要: Methods and circuital arrangements for turning OFF branches of a multi-branch cascode amplifier are presented. First and second switching arrangements coupled to a branch allow turning OFF the branch while protecting transistors of the branch from a supply voltage that may be greater than a tolerable voltage of the transistors. The first switching arrangement includes a transistor-based switch that is in series connection with the transistors of the branch. The first switching arrangement drops the supply voltage during the OFF state of the branch and provides a conduction path for a current through the branch during the ON state of the branch. A resistor and a shunting switch are coupled to a gate of the transistor-based switch to reduce parasitic coupling effects of the transistor-based switch upon an RF signal coupled to the branch during the ON state and OFF state of the branch.

摘要: Multiple-link optical terabit terminals (MLOTT) allowing high speed data transfer rates in terabit per second range in an omnidirectional fashion are disclosed. The described terminals have multifaceted structure, provide full coverage, implement single laser or laser arrays, and single detector or detector arrays to achieve higher transmission rates. Wavelength division multiplexing schemes can also be used when implementing the disclosed terminals for higher data rates. Steerable mirrors and lenses can be implemented as part of the terminals and based on angle-of-arrival calculations performed in real time.

摘要: A coupling method for coupling a component of a container to the container is presented. The method includes: arranging a coupling unit including a coupling assembly with a frame, a gripping device for the component, a coupling device for constraining the component to the container; arranging the container and the component at least partially within the container, providing at least a minimum spacing between a bottom of the component and a base of the container; moving and activating the gripping device at a removal position of the component; moving the retaining element and the coupling element to a coupling position; deactivating the retaining element, thus deactivating a constraint between the gripping element and the component; and activating said coupling element to produce a stable coupling between the couplable portion of the component and the container, deactivating and moving the coupling element.

摘要: Methods and devices for sensing current through a power converter circuit are presented. According to one aspect, currents through high-/low-side transistors are sensed via respective reduced size replica transistors. According to another aspect, the sensed currents are used to generate bridging currents that are combined with the sensed currents to generate a continuous current sense signal. According to another aspect, the bridging currents include slopes that are generated from slopes of the sensed currents. According to another aspect, the sensed currents are combined and filtered to generate a continuous sense signal. According to another aspect, the continuous current sense signal is a voltage that is compared to a reference voltage to generate a current limit status flag used to control operation of the power converter circuit. According to other aspects, the current sense voltage is used to control ON/OFF duty cycle of the power converter circuit.

摘要: Atomic layer etching (ALE) of a substrate using a wafer scale wave of precisely controlled electrons is presented. A volume of gaseous plasma including diluent and reactive species and electrons of a uniform steady state composition is generated in a positive column of a DC plasma proximate the substrate. A corrosion layer is formed on the substrate by adsorption of the reactive species to atoms at the surface of the substrate. The substrate is positively biased to draw electrons from the volume to the surface of the substrate and impart energy to the electrons to stimulate electron transitions in the corrosion layer species, resulting in ejection of the corrosion layer species via electron stimulation desorption (ESD). The substrate is negatively biased to repel the electrons from the surface of the substrate back to the volume, followed by a zero bias to restore the steady state composition of the volume.

The invention also relates to a drying method and a method for a thermodynamic regulation (TDR).
